Dreamcatcher Children
If you and someone else that has a dreamcatcher would like them to breed you will each get one child that is a mix of both parents. Breeding costs $10

Dreamcatcher Mau are born with sensitive gems on their ankles, hips, lower back, back of the neck, right above their genitals, and on their tail.
They visit sleeping creatures and humanoids and draw a dream catcher like weave above their head in the air with magical lines. The gem on their hip with the feathers is removable and attaches mid air to this magical weave. They catch the dreamers dream and store the energy in their gems.
They make barely a sound when they walk and can float above ground. They can jump onto roofs which gives them the illusion of flight, however they cannot fly.
Males of the species are very rare and seek out females on their own to mate with. It isn’t strange for a female to never see a male in her lifetime as Dreamcatcher Mau males are very rare. There is one male born to every fifty females. They tend to keep to themselves and are a solitary group. The females tend to live in clutches of three or five to keep each other company and the males tend to find company from other species.
When the mau feel high emotions such as anger, lust, love, excitement, ect. their genitals, inner bits, and orbs glow. they also change colours depending on their mood like a mood ring, but return to their original color after the high wears off. Any fluids that they secrete or produce taste sweet like honey or sugar.
Female Specifics: gem on the lower part of the tail, subtle or no markings on face, three feathers on hip, and short ears
Male Specifics: Gem on upper part of tail, Markings on face, Five feathers on hip, Longer ears and no arm fluff.
Mau can come in a range of colours and patterns

Mau Abilities
• Ability to place and remove dreams and thoughts.
• Change dreams into dream dust which can be used to create and manipulate dreams.
• Illusion Magic
• Can turn invisible
• Give off a perfume like smell at will to calm
• Heightened senses for mixing, making good alchemists
• Mau are eternal, but can die. If they aren’t killed they can live forever.
Special Mau Abilities
• Special rare, bane, ascended, and ethereal mau have the ability to use up all the energy in their large gem (minus what they need to live) and use a power specific to them
• Ascended, bane, and ethereal mau can enter dreams, dream hop (moving from the dream to someone else’s that the being is dreaming about), and change the types of dreams
• Ethereal and ascended mau have wingless flight
• Bane mau can phase in and out of existence either their whole body or just parts
• Ascended mau have wings of light and they can form dream dust into dream gems to bring dread mau back to life. They cannot be affected by nightmares or terror blood.
Mau Breeding
• Mau lay eggs , two eggs per clutch
• It is rare to see a male stay with the female after mating to help raise the babies as males are solitary, but it does happen from time to time.
• Children are taken care of by parent(s) until they are adolescents then they leave to live on their own.
• Tail grows as mau grows
Different Kinds of Dreams
Categorized by Mau Kind
Contentment Sleep the energy is kept in their gems so that they can use their magic. It’s a pure energy that gives them the power to manipulate dreams, store dream dust, refill their life gems, and other powers.
Three Degrees (or stages) of contentment. The higher the stage the more energy.
Terror Sleep they consume it and turn the raw energy into nutrients and terror fluid, however, consuming too many nightmares makes them sick. Consuming enough nightmares may cause the mau’s body to change to a nightmarish form. Their gems will begin to leak night terror fluids which will cause whomever comes in contact with them to have night terrors.
Three Degrees (or stages) of severity. The higher the stage the more fluids.
• Celesital – Dreams belonging to a celestial being, god or other creature. Almost impossibly rare to accomplish. Eating a diet of only celestial dreams will imbue the mau with celestial qualities and abilities. Categorized as a Contentment Sleep and adds pure energy.
• Etheral – Dreams belonging to beings of a pure nature. Beings who are selfless and commit no crimes against nature. Good Demi-gods are among these creatures. Eating a diet of only ethereal dreams will imbue the mau with ethereal qualities. Categorized as a Contentment Sleep and adds pure energy.
• Nightmare – Stage 1 Terror a frightening or unpleasant dream in which the dreamer is terrified or upset enough to be woken from their slumber. Any creature can have a nightmare and it is very dangerous for a mau to consume a nightmare. Categorized as a Terror Sleep and adds raw terror fluid and nutrients.
• Fearful - Stage 2 Terror commonly known as a night terror. This sleep is more intense than a nightmare and sometimes the beings wake up having wet themselves or hurt themselves from thrashing about. Categorized as a Terror Sleep and adds raw terror fluid and nutrients.
• Dread – Stage 3 Terror Highest level of terror. This involves complete and utter terror in the beings dream. Sometimes they are so afraid that they forget to awaken. Categorized as a Terror Sleep and adds raw terror fluid and nutrients.
• Normal – a dream that is neither overly happy nor overly terrifying. It would be like dreaming about shopping or doing daily activities.
• Glee – Stage 1 Contentment A wonderful dream where the being is happy and in the morning wakes up relaxed and at peace. Categorized as a contentment sleep and adds pure energy.
• Jubilant – Stage 2 Contentment An extra happy sleep where the being accomplishes a long set goal or has a dream come true. A dream that they would write about or tell their friends about. They wake up happy and full of energy. Categorized as a Contentment Sleep and adds pure energy
• Wonderment – Stage 3 Contentment The highest level of contentment where the beings sleep is so extraordinary that they don’t want to wake up. All their dreams and aspirations are coming true all around them and when they awake they have a renewed sense of inspiration and determination. Categorized as a contentment sleep and adds pure energy.
• Coma – Mau sometimes frequent a being in a comatose state and feed off their dreams. They also manipulate them into dreams of happier times and cox them to wake up. Mau that do this tend to get attached to the being and will follow them after they have awakened to stay with them. They will become protective of the being like a child and will fight other mau off. Some mau stay with their comatose being until they perish giving them a sweet dream to pass away too.
• Mau Sleep – Some mau take it upon themselves to feed off the dreams of other mau. This is taboo in mau culture and results in mutations and loss of gems and markings. The mau that partake in this taboo are outcasted or killed.
