i would in fact love some sort of tutorial and a QnA. i think it would be a pretty great idea, help people get into it a little easier if they have an interest

Ahh yes, the broad goal (at least in my opinion) is to get everyone to the same or a similar level of proficiency, and have easy paths for newcomers to reach that level of knowledge.

that sounds like a great goal to work towards, i loved my experience with blender, though i don't use it much nowadays it would be nice to pick it back up

though i would never have been able to really get the hang of it in the first place if it wasn't for having used it in a class i was taking

so a tutorial or something like it i think would be wonderful. i wish you all the luck i can with the upcoming work you may put into it ^.^

I've been trying to get into Blender, but I find it really confusing. xD
A tutorial would be amazing, even if it just helps make something like a head. I hope it can be done! ^^

It can definitely be confusing at first! But like learning any other software it takes some good guidance as well as a touch of dedication!
And yes, I'll be sorting things out to see if I can get things started.

You can have a journal saying what to have a tutorial about, then everyone can say what. Then depending on how many want that one (by vote? idk) we can have one once a week made by one of us who knows how.

most of my fa is made entirely in blender. nearly all of it. i've got maybe a handful of photos and two traditional media pieces, a couple of word pieces, maybe a handful of tunes. all together everything that isn't blender makes up less then ten percent of my gallery.

So, super vague question..

Im pretty ameteurish with blender, not bad but not great. And i find that with alot of software; blender, photoshop etc.. i get to the point where i can do some stuff, but i'm not good enough to do much of anything interesting, and cant seem to find a way to improve. Any tips? Its very frustrating

Well the best way to improve (at least from my experience) is to make things and practice. The same basic tools you learn can be applied to whatever you make, so if you want to make interior scenes, and you can't quite figure it out, find a tutorial (maybe something like this?), there's plenty on that sort of topic! What you learn in a lesson like that you can apply over and over to different scenes, just like using the same pencil to make tons of different drawings.
