Ok. I made it to Cali. Packed everything I owned into my little car and made the drive in 2½ days. I'm now living in the High Desert area, specifically Piñon Hills. Yay.

But that's old news. This journal is about another big change for me, something I feel it's time for all my friends to know. I will soon begin a full male-to-female transition. That's right, I'm officially a transwoman. To be clear, I haven't undergone any surgeries or hormone therapies yet. I haven't even seen a psychologist, but that'll be my first step.

Q. So you're officially 'out' then, right?
A. Only to the fandom plus a select few. So if you know me on Facebook, please don't mention it.

Q. So should I start calling you 'she' and 'her' now?
A. It'll take some getting used to, but it's probably a good idea for me to get used to hearing it ^_^'

Q. Have you decided on a new name yet?
A. Only a first name. You may call me "Valerie" (when appropriate).

Q. I thought it was "Valerian?"
A. "Valerian" is the name of my new character.

Q. So is Valerian ...
A. ...Yes. Valerian is a new identity to accommodate my transition. I'm moving accounts wholly to her. Loki will soon be a fond memory.

Q. Those two name are suspiciously similar...
A. That's not really a question, but... yes. You can just call me "Val" in any case ^_^
