Looking for a Second life commission? Well I do them, so here we go!
What does a mod kit consist of?
Mod kits include but not limited to: System skin (Meaning it fits on Linden labs avatar). Textures for any mesh/prims that are wanted retextured. Mesh body/parts appliers, custom ears/tail upon request
What do I need to have on hand?
A base avatar, whether it is by DERP, DsD, KzK, or any other furry maker out there, you need to already own the avatar and the needed pieces. Some times if I don't own the desired pieces, I will ask you rez them on my parcel so I can texture map them.
Do you make full base avatars?
No, I am a texture artist. I can usually make ears/tails out of prims or full perm pieces that I buy off the MP.
What if you don't own the avatar I want modded?
Ask, some times I forget to update my list and if I have the spare lindens, I will purchase the avatar if it's not something over 1K. Though if you wish to purchase it for me, I would be happy either way or split the cost.
Would you be able to make a kit that is like anothers, only the colors are different or it's for a different avatar?
No, that is breaking copy right laws. I can make something similar but it must be unique and done in my own style.
My English is not very good, what do I do?
I do not want to discourage against those with lack of English from asking for a mod kit.
So I propose this, see if you have anyone that can translate for you.
Make sure your ref is crystal clear on what you want.
Try using google translate (Far stretch but may work).
Do you mod/make hair?
Dear lord no.. I'm so-sorry for but I'm not a masochist. >.< The only hairs I would be willing to retexture are those that come with the UIT Kemono, that is it. So sorry.
Prices:
They range from $5 - 10 USD for a full mod kit, that includes skin and textures. $5 if I can resell the kit, $10 if it's private.
Single textures are 100 - 300 Linden. 100 linden if I can resell the texture, 300 if it is private.
I will take lindens as payment and the prices are 1,250 for the resell price or 2,500 for the private.
Down Payments/Cancellations:
I expect half of the payment upfront when I start the commission, I put my time and effort into the art.
It is not refundable ONCE I START, you are paying for my time wasted if you decide that you no longer wish to get the mod.
Multiple Orders:
I will take on more than one commission at a time from a client.
But I expect to be paid, per commission as if you were ordering one.
You pay half up front for the first one, then the rest upon completion.
Then I give you the file and start the process over with the second one.
What you need before contacting me:
A clear reference, I don't care if it's a picture of a real life animal, 3D model, or a crayon drawing, it must show me exactly what you want. I get very frustrated with unclear details or bits and pieces of things stuffed together.
I need a color swatch, values, sample, something to let me know exactly what colors you're wanting.
If you give me textual references only, expect a long back and forth as what I may interpret something different than yourself, often times, if too complex, I may turn down the commission until a ref is made.
If there are ANY discrepancies in your ref, you MUST let me know before hand.
Also if you are using items not included in the base model ie legs, tail, ears you must url link them in the form.
Discounts/Price differences:
IF you have been referred by a previous client of mine, both you and said person will be given a discount on current mod or future mod.
Those that have been with me and ordering mods get them at a far cheaper price-Why? Because I have recently upped my prices to something a bit more realistic for my time on these. If you have always gotten commissions from me at a cheaper price, I will not change what I charge... these people know who they are.
Terms of Service:
I do not copy anothers work and recolor it. So please don't show me another's work and say you want it this color or with something added/taken away ie altered OR done for another avatar. What I will do is make my own, original textures and designs in my style that are similar to a degree so there are no copy write issues.
**I have the right to refuse a commission if I feel if I cannot do what is needed, the client makes drastic change requests, attitude, or not letting me work at my pace. (I have a full time job, school, two kids, and a boyfriend).
