Also did you check to see if your car was broken into, or if someone took your keys to take your suit, it could mean that someone at the party took it.

Yeah i as wondering that also. So you place it into your truck and shut it locked it. How did they take it? Break into your car and pop the trunk or force it open? And no one is just going to steal a mascot suit unless you had someone stalking you and knew you place it in there. And let's say they didn't know what was in there but a big box (or was it in a box?) and took it and thought it had something value inside.

I have had my truck broken into one night, who ever it was toss everything into my flatbed, looked through the glove box, but never stole anything, not even my coins that had n the cup holder. My paper work was still there. Heck, i've had a homeless guy sleep n my tuck before as i forgot to lock it one night.

I would file a insurance claim with your auto policy and get that rolling.
Once i mailed a plush horse to a friend and they were not home and the package was stolen. I was upset but the joke is on the thief as that plush horse had some modifications done to it.

I honesty think it was someone there at the party as a normal thief would want to know what he is taking and not see that he snag a mascot suit worth nothing to him or her and not able to sell for drugs.

Yes it was locked and there is the possibility it was someone at the party. I am going to post flyers in the area with a reward and hopefully someone comes forward with it because the reward will be better than getting nothing for the suit.

I still think contacting the police would be a good idea, because in your case this is grand theft and anyone who doesn't want to be charged with it would probably come forward and give back the suit, mostly because you hold the power on if you want to press charges or not, also you could ask your closer friends to do some snooping on the other party guests that you don't know to well see if it turns up.

Oh and contacting the police will give you access to search warrants so if you do suspect someone you can legally search them or their home for your stolen property.

You have my sympathies, even if I am just some random dude passing through the "browse" section.

But something seems off here: how did said thief even KNOW your suit was in there? Maybe you were just a victim of random chance and they know a thing or two about suits; for that I'd check ebay and the like. But let's say you weren't; I'm not saying don't trust your friends, but keep an eye on those who KNOW you are furry and even has a suit to begin with. They seem like likely candidates if this was targeting you in particular.

I know my advice sounds bland considering I am some random dude passing by but I still wish the best of luck to you in its retrieval.

I saw a meme of ur furrysuit on one of my friends fraves. I don't know if it would show up in lakeland FL or in Atlanta at fwa but I'll keep my eyes open.
