Elliott's Spring Gathering 2009 in review. :)

Well, the trip there was definitely an enjoyable one! Lot's of awesome things that went on. Lots of awesome furs that I got to meet and say hello to! I had a lot of fun there. To those who couldn't make it, you should have been there. Go-carting most of Friday as well as indoor blacklight mini-golf was very fun! But we also got to see Avenue Q LIVE! It was freaking awesome! Saturday, I spent most of the day in a fursuit head construction tutorial class. I realized how freaking hard it is to mold and sculpt foam....yeesh! :p I got the basic head done. I just need to refine it and build onto it a bit. I'm going to try and get it done for use for Megaplex. But I may try another attempt at it using different methods and materials too. It's hard to model a suit for a dolphin! :p
I was very very happy to see so many awesome artists there. Here's some of those I met and talked to a bit:
Scappo Glad to have met you! Great talking to ya. And it turns out I didn't have you on my extensive watch list. Now you are though. :)

likeshine Both of you do such awesome stuff. I seriously wanted to buy something from you. But maybe I'll see about something when I see hopefully both of you again at Megaplex later on in July. You should make some dolphin sculpture stuffs! :p

Kaji It was truly amazing to meet both of you. I know I was definitely happy to get some prints that you both had in the portfolio. I'm still amazed at seeing the amazing stuff that you do. If I had a bit more time, I seriously would have commissioned at least one of you for a sketch. But unfortunately, I had to be going Saturday afternoon seeing as I work in the morning. I'm glad you both made a trip all the way down here for this event! I hope it was well worth it!
spunky It was great talking to you even if it wasn't for a particularly large amount of time. You have some awesome stuff. And I know 
jreqthek9 was loving your art. hehe. I definitely hope you enjoyed yourself at this event!
blackmane It was awesome seeing you there too! Definitely cool stuff there! I didn't really get to talk to you at all much. I just took lots of pictures. hehe. But I wish I had. I truly do love some of the stuff you do!

fishyboner Definitely can't forget you! Awesome awesome art. I really wish I could have bought one of those dragoness sketches that you have. Print more! :p hehe. Awesome stuff. I enjoyed buying some of those small pins from you though. ^.^ Will look forward to seeing you again at Megaplex hopefully. Even if you probably won't be selling stuff.

Also, thanks goes out to J.D. also known as 'Lost'. Hehe. Couldn't decide a name for yourself, eh? Well, thanks for letting me room with you. It was definitely better than sleeping in my car. :p It was great to meet you. I know it sucks having dial-up and you're not on FA much, but perhaps you'll get better net sometime. I may send you a text message telling you to visit my FA page though. :p
ghostwalker It was nice seeing the instruments you had there! Awesome flutes that you have! Glad you enjoyed your time over there! Will look forward to hearing a bit more from you. Perhaps sometime I'll have to try recording a bit of the stuff I have. Though, I think I need a better mic before I do that. I have a nice noise canelling mic on my headset here. But it's not quite like a more professional mic. :p
Hmmm.....I wish I could stay there for Sunday's events. Especially the Wet&Wild thing. That would be so much fun! But unfortunately, I get to look forward to working. Oh well. I guess I do have to make money if I'm going to go events like this. :p
I can't think of anything to add to this. So before I make this post stupidly huge, I'll end it here.
