Reguarding the Spotlight

Anti-Drama Llama Movement Newsletter
Hey folks! This is
tluthal, Otaku's second in command. I run the Daily Spotlight. Since everyone seems to think the ADLM is a
one-man show, I'm here to correct the misconception. On a day-to-day basis, I'm the person who does the Spotlight. I go through not
only my own watch list, but also the various messages that are sent to the Spotlight account as well. There are a few things you should
know about me: I'm not nearly as nice as Otakuman is, I do the Spotlight during my own time out of the goodness of my heart, and I have a
very short temper.
Speaking of the Spotlight, due to the rather high workload it represents, we have a few rules on how you send in a Journal for the
Spotlight - that's right folks, if you see someone in need, send 'em on in!
1) If you send in a Journal or Journals through comments [Page shouts or comments on a Journal], you will receive a message asking you to
re-send the information through notes. We will ONLY accept Journals through NOTES. Why? You go try to copy a Journal with link or icon
out of a comment - it doesn't work right. Through notes, I can pull or correct the formatting without having to sit there and click
and re-click and open and close half a dozen windows. Seriously though, I WILL NOT, under ANY circumstances accept a Journal if it is
sent via comments. If you don't know how to send a note, ASK! Do NOT post a Journal in the comments!
2) If you send in a Journal or Journals without all of the needed information, you will recieve a message asking you to send the missing
information. Until I get all of the information, I WILL NOT post the Journal. What do I need?
The SECTION the Journal belongs to.
A LINK to the Journal.
The USERNAME of the person affected.
The REASON the person should be on the Spotlight.
So when you're ready to send it it should read something like:
Section:
Link To Journal - Username [Reason]
3) The ONLY sections we have are Urgent Financial Support, Special Alert, Financial Support, Emotional Support, Medical Support,
Technical Support, Pet Support, Artistic Support, Sales/Auctions/Raffles, Conventions, and Friends. If it isn't on there, we PROBABLY do
not take it; you can ask if you like but don't be shocked if we say "No, that doesn't fit into any of our categories."
4) If I do not get a reply from you after contacting you about re-sending or missing information, I WILL NOT GO BACK AND LOOK AT IT. I
already take hours to go through my own Journals and format those Journals and the Spotlight, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask you
to give me information you'd already seen.
5) Please, please, PLEASE take the time to correctly format the Journals you're sending in! Urgent Financial, Special Alert, and
Financial are formated with the user linked like so:
tluthal :icontluthal : [Remove the spaces]. Emotional is linked like so:
: tluthalicon : [Remove the spaces]. Everything else is linked like so: tluthal : linktluthal : [Remove the spaces].
This is the ONLY thing I will not request you fix, however from now on I will remind you that you haven't properly formatted your users.
Poly article will be put up later, as I'm working on the Spotlight right now. Thank you for your attention - and after this I absolutely
will not accept Journals not sent in correctly. I've said it again and again on the Spotlight and been ignored, and I'm not going to
keep doing that.

i like your attitude too XD
You can get mad one second and be fine the next?
I wish a lot of people were like that. They usually have a very long temper.
I'll get on that.
