Here's a little meme thing for all characters who are gooey, slimy and generally amorphous! Let's see what kind of slimy guy you are...
*assumes the form of a gold-furred eastern dragoness with large, white-feathered wings, wearing a lustrous silver dress and bowing respectfully* A pleasure to speak with you.
What is your name?
Most of my friends know me as Lekheelay.
Do you have a default form? Or do you take many forms? Any favorites?
A good question. I have two forms that one might consider my "default".
First, this one, the one I am presently in now. It has been described as a lung, or eastern dragon, though if you look more closely you'll see that's not quite accurate. For the sake of convenience, though ... lung is fine. This is the form I use most often when I am interacting with "solids." My public face, if you will.
My native form or "birth" form is actually formless. If you can imagine an amorphous mass of swirling gold and amber fluid, able to flow, stretch, and squish itself into almost any shape, that's what I am.
There are other forms I often frequent. Everything from feral foxes to anthropomorphic unicorns. It all depends on my mood. :)
Is that form/are those forms solid, a little bit melty or completely liquid?
My native form is, as you might imagine, fully fluid. My other forms are quite solid.
Can you harden your goo to make weapons, armor or tools? Or at least make yourself more solid?
I am as solid as I wish to be. Think about your muscles. When you flex your muscles, they grow tense, more firm. When you relax, they become slack and flexible. It works in much the same way for me, like my whole body is a muscle which can be flexed to become solid or relaxed to become fluid, or anywhere in-between.
What are you made of? How would you describe your “goo?”
What am I made of? *amused laughter, followed by a serious look* The universe. Everything. Anything. A thousand people could say that I am made of a thousand different things and they would all be correct. Whatever you think I am made of, that's what I am made of.
My goo, as mentioned earlier, looks like a viscous fluid, gold and amber patterns swirling over its surface like oil on water. It has a "skin", a sort of smooth, semi-permeable membrane that forms autonomically when I assume my native form.
How were you made? Do you even know? In a lab? Magic? Another gooey character? Etc.
*shakes her head* I know not my origins. My earliest memories are hazy, racing through a nighttime forest in my native form, slithering and slinging myself through the trees, away from some apparent threat that I can no longer recall.
I know very little of my species except that I have a species to belong to. Throughout all of pre-recorded history, there are tales and legends, references to tricksters able to assume many shapes, even formless and flowing. The oldest stories refer to these beings as primordials. None of these stories say anything about how primordials are born, how they reproduce, or if they do at all.
Sure a bullet might pass through you, but what would electricity do? Can you be frozen? Burned? Cemented? Dissolved with acid? Can someone simply drink you? Etc.
I derive some sustenance from most forms of energy, including heat, sunlight, and electricity. I am more resistant to these sorts of things than a human might be, but there are limits.
Fire burns me just fine. This effectively decreases my available mass, in addition to being very painful. *winces* Potent acids or high levels of radiation affect me similarly.
A strong electric shock can disorient me. A more powerful jolt can render me unconscious, which usually causes me to revert to my native form. In theory, an incredibly strong shock could kill me, yes.
I am quite susceptible to cold. I grow sluggish in very cold environments. It becomes harder to move and change my form. Extreme cold can completely immobilize me, at which point I enter a sort of hibernation state.
Most poisons and diseases which affect humans do not affect me. Conversely, there are poisons and diseases which affect me, but they are harmless to humans. Fortunately, these are very rare.
To be fair, I am only resistant to most forms of physical attack. I am not immune. I can be ... exploded, for example.
Yes, a creature could eat or drink me, but they do so at their own risk. Whether I decide to be toxic or non-toxic depends on how much I like you and your insides. :P
But enough of this grim topic! What else would you like to know? *uncomfortable grin*
Can you feel pain?
Yes. I feel pain and pleasure alike, just as you do.
Do you need to breathe? Sleep? Eat? Do you get tired? Sick? Etc.
I do not need to Breathe, no. I have no chemical need for oxygen, nor do I require breath for speech, capable of producing sound through controlled vibrations. I do sleep and eat, yes. It becomes progressively harder and harder to think straight the longer I stay awake, and so I very much appreciate having a regular sleep cycle. As for food, I can derive sustenance from anything, though some substances are far more pleasing to my palette than others. I enjoy eating the way most humans and animals eat, but I can also take in mass directly from anything I am in contact with, effectively absorbing it into my body.
Can you morph into another person? Mimic an object perfectly? Or does everything still kind of have your colors and look like you?
I am able to assume any shape, size, texture, color, or consistency. This means I can imitate any person, creature, plant, machine, or other object. My imitations are limited only by my ability to perceive the thing that I am impersonating.
Out of respect for others, I often place this image somewhere on my form as a kind of tell. You might see it as a tattoo, or a pattern in my fur or scales, or an insignia on my clothing, or anything similar. That way, no matter what form I may be in, my friends will still know it's me. :3
Can you assimilate others? Consume them?
*firm, serious gaze* I do not eat sentients.
*relaxes* That said, as I mentioned earlier, I am perfectly capable of absorbing mass from anything I touch, converting it into more of me. Living beings are no exception. I am also capable of melding my physical form together with another creature's such that we share a single body. This is both harmless and fully reversible, resulting in a very intimate sort of symbiote/host relationship. I ... I often find this to be highly enjoyable. *blushes*
Can you regenerate? Do you need to consume matter to replace it or can you even get more goo if it’s lost?
I wouldn't say that I regenerate, per se. It does require conscious effort, but as long as I have sufficient mass, I can assume any form I wish, including an undamaged one. If I need more mass than I have, then I must eat something.
If someone touched you, are you slippery, sticky or somewhere in the middle?
In my native form, I am smooth to the touch, much like the skin of a porpoise or a whale.
If you oozed around a corner, are you thick and slow flowing, thin and fast flowing or somewhere in between?
When in my native form, I can slither about as quickly as the average snake. It's not as fast as certain other forms I could take, certainly, but I have no difficulty moving about in such a form.
If someone picked you up are you heavy, light or something like water?
Typically, I am about as dense as water for my current size, but that can vary. Keep in mind that I can assume a variety of forms, everything from an anvil to a hot air balloon.
Are you hot, warm or cold to the touch?
I am slightly warm to the touch. The term is endothermic, I believe?
What do you consume to live/grow? Do you even have to?
I do require a small amount of sustenance in order to retain the same amount of mass. As mentioned earlier, I can eat anything that isn't toxic to me. Meat, fruit, water, rocks, dirt, aluminum, plastic, cotton stuffing, etc. All equally edible.
What is your preferred way of movement? Walking? Oozing? Jumping? Etc.
Swimming. Swimming comes very naturally to me, and just feels comfortable.
Can you make make tentacles? Extra limbs? Etc.
Easily. I can just as easily form additional body segments, as one might see on a centaur or chakat, or a body with extra heads. I can sprout extra eyes and ears, and I hear normally out of each. With multiple mouths, I can even speak from each one independently or all together. Very useful when you have to sing your own harmony.
How much concentration do you need to morph into complex shapes and do crazy things? Is even your default form difficult to maintain? Or can you for example melt and have 20 different tentacles doing 21 different things?
More complex forms do require a great deal of concentration, both to assume and to use. I am fully capable of doing multiple things at once with multiple limbs, so long as each task isn't too involved. With enough mass, I can even divide myself into multiple bodies and control each one independently! Very useful.
There ya go! Your turn to answer these questions on a journal! Tag friends if you want to~ Enjoy!!

OP
There are indeed times where I feel like an outsider. I am very unique, even among fellow goo-shifters like yourself. But our uniqueness is the spice of life, isn't it?
