CHARACTER DESIGN ADOPTS AND CUSTOMS DESIGNS

By purchasing a particular design meant for full IP ownership, you automatically agree to the following conditions.
Please read this entirely and carefully. I will deny your request if I see you didn’t read this.
If there are any questions or concerns, send a note!

- Adoptables are purchased designs which you can use to make your own character. You may name the character, create a personality and background information for the character as well as make minor design changes. However you may not edit/alter the original art for the design.
- Alterations to the design are allowed however these alterations are not to be made to the original art and are limited to minor details so that the character still maintains the main features of the adopt. You can talk to me for any major changes.
- The design and art must be credited to me when used.

PAYMENT

- All payment should be in USD. Via paypal.
- At least a partial payment is required within two days of your request being accepted.
- Failure to do so will result in your request for ownership of that particular design to be dropped.
- If you need more time, let me know before hand.
- Refunds requested must be asked within a week if not then no refund. I cannot refund everything because of taxes.

ARTIST

By buying you’re purchasing my labor and all the rights to the design. I retain all copyrights over my work, which include but are not limited to the right to distribute, reproduce or use the image as a sample for sales/self-promotion. Unless otherwise agreed upon. I can always keep your request private. Just ask!

- You will own the Intellectual Property and I will not reuse/resell the design again for personal and commercial projects.
- I reserve the right to reject your proposal without question.
- I reserve the right to modify and resell any refunded designs to be sold at a later date.

COMMISSIONER

The commissioner may upload the work done to your site as long as it is credited and linked back to any of my galleries, you only need to do this if it involves my artwork being used as reference! You may use it for any personal use that you please, including but not limited to icons, signatures, layouts, wallpapers, themes and personal site display.

- You retain all rights to the IP.
- You may not claim the work to be your own or set it up for redistribution.
- You may not use it for any external projects, commercial or non-commercial. Unless royalties are agreed upon.
- You may change the character's qualities to your liking.
- You may trade the character for other designs.
- You may create an original species out of it. You bought the right to the IP! ( please ask first )
- You may sell the character for the same price you purchased it with.
- You may only add the value of the commissioned work if the artist permits reselling of that art.
- Please respect the terms you agreed to when you commissioned them.
- You may add the price of commissioned work created by me.
- You may sell a design you for free from me ONLY if being asked.

PROCEDURE

- First I'll make a sketch. When you approve of it, you will pay me fully and then I will finish it.
- Character Concepts are commissioned through a small description. Reference is always welcome.
- You may request minor tweaks if I missed any distinguishing features present in your reference/descriptions.
- I reserve the right to add a $10 USD fee over any LARGE edits after the first one. Please be clear and concise in your description of the change. You can use other works and photos you like as references for the changes!
- Mistakes I made (wrong colors, forgotten design element, ...) will always be fixed for free.
- A full size, no watermark image will be given. and a watermarked smaller size. It necessary that you watermark/resize the image before sharing publicly.
