~Species info~
This will be edited in the future! This is just here to give an idea of what a plush baby is and their traits!
What is a plush baby?
Plush Babies are an adoptable species created by teaparties! They are based off of 80's and 90's toys. You can get a plush baby by buying a blind box, getting a custom when open, or buying from and trading with other plush baby owners!
We have a trading post telegram chat for anyone who would like to buy, sell, or trade their plush babies!
If you'd like the invite link please sent a note to @teaparties
General Appearance
All plush babies have very soft plush bodies with 'plastic' faces and little tufts of hair & bangs on their head (brushable!!)
They also have faux fur around their necks, making them extra fluffy! Their paw pads (or hooves) are a crinkly iridescent material! They have bows around both their neck and on their hair tuft.
Plush babies are around 12in tall (toy sized!) They are genderless naturally. They do not have genitals!
Each has a locket on their tummy which opens up with a key! They can store basically anything inside! What will you find in yours? Candy? Toys? Guts? (You get to choose!)
More mature-style anthro art is discouraged (defined 'human' characteristics; boobs, defined legs, fingers, etc)
Background
Plush babies are just a cute toy species! That's it!
Rarities
Most plush babies are only a few solid colors. It's uncommon to find one with multiple colored hair or a pattern on their body. Each plush baby species has an uncommon or rare variant. I'll go over more species specific traits in their own sections.
General Plush Baby Traits
Common traits: heart & star lockets. solid colors.
Uncommon traits: moon locket. Two colored hair. Natural extensions. Different colored plastic.
Rare traits: Multi-color/ rainbow fabric/ hair. themed lockets. Extra accessories.
Ultra Rare / Special: OOAK lockets. Custom ears or hair. Fabric with a simple pattern.
Never Seen: Full pattern fabric, super detailed lockets, extra limbs or added things like horns or wings on species that wouldn't normally have these.
Original Plush babies
Originals or 'puppies' were the original design! They have fluffy ears, which can stick up or down and have a sadder, pouty face by default. They have average length super fluffy tails and the signature bang & hair tuft. Their uncommon variant has large soft droopy fluffy puppy ears!
species specific: variants 1&2.
Puff Plush babies
Puffs look similar to the originals, however they have round fluffy ears and a round ball tail attached to a string! they also have tiny little noses~ Typically they have a very happy expression. Their uncommon variant has extra large ears that they tie into two puff balls with a bow!
species specific: variants 1&2
Bird Plush babies
Birds also have plush bodies and plastic faces, but their arms and legs are also made of plastic! Their hair tends to be a little bit longer than both the original and puff. They also have a tail made out of hair rather than faux fur. Their rare variant has little ears! Turning them from a bird into a little gryphon~
species specific: variants 1&2 (2nd being rare). Wings.
Pony Plush babies
Ponies have plush bodies, plastic faces, and hooves made out of the holographic material. They have long hair, and like the birds, have a tail made out of hair. Ponies have two extra variants, one has a unicorn horn (rare) and one is an alicorn (ultra-rare)
species specific: variants 1,2&3
Bunny Plush babies
Bunnies are currently the only species without a true variant. They have very soft, very long ears and a big soft round tail! Unlike any other plush baby, instead of a tuft of hair they have a big soft ball on their head! They DO NOT have paw pads!!
species specific: one type
Dragon Plush babies
Dragons are uncommon by default with a rare variant. They have extremely long hair; they usually tie their tail in buns so they don't trip over them constantly! They have similar iridescent material for their inner ears and horns, but with a scale pattern on the material! They have little plush claws instead of paws (NO PAW PADS!!) and are flightless (NO WINGS).
species specific: variants 1,2. Uncommon species with rare variant.
Squirrel Plush babies
Squirrels are a fall only exclusive! Squirrels will only come out between September - November. They have very large soft tails!! Acorn and mushroom lockets are exclusive to this species only!
species specific: variants 1,2.
Bat Plush babies
Bat PBs are rare and are only available through the month of October! They have wings instead of arms and little bat noses~
species specific: variants 1,2.
