Eye "floaters."

Random journal. =P

So for a long time I have had one of those in my left eye, in the top left of my vision. It's not really a problem of course, it's just kind of there and like said in the video I mostly see it when I am looking at the blue sky.
I kind of found that video to be fascinating as I know what they are called but never really read up on what causes it, so it's nice to know. =3
Also I like how the video sequed into the "blue field entopic phenomenon" as I have wondered about that as well. Sometimes learning is fun since I have experienced both of these things and it's nice to know what causes it. =3
Not really an important journal, I just saw this video and wanted to share as I found it interesting. =3 Do you have any floaters? Mine is hard to say what it looks like, a snake with arms I guess. =P

started out as bright, brief arc-shaped flashes of light on the outer periphery of the eye's visual field every time the eye jumped to a new focus.
PVD is normal. usually occurring in a person's 60s or later -- I got about a 15-year head start!
most folks gain a few extra floaters during the process of detachment, but that's all.
about two weeks into the process, I woke up one morning to a huge increase in the number of dark floaters, and an area of visual distortion that hadn't existed before.
turned out I was one of the lucky 1-in-7 who get a retinal tear as the vitreous pulls away -- sometimes it clings too tightly, and rips the delicate retinal tissue.
prompt medical attention and laser surgery corrected the problem with the retina, but the vitreous detatchment is still ongoing.
a few days later, I woke up to just one more new floater -- but it was an enormous one, right in the center of vision. it's called a Weiss ring.
I'm just glad mine's mostly transparent. the edges aren't, though, so I'm walking (and driving) around with a target reticle of sorts in my left eye now. :D
Good that you still see well..!
I had no idea an eye could even do this, before April 6! :D
I think the main reason I got them is physical trauma. Hit my head real hard once etc.. The worst bump also caused me to see a blue infinity-shape "rainbow" when looking at a dim but concentrated light in the darkness.
