So yesterday I went on a school trip to some animation studios in london. One was very big and fancy. Had lots of crazy state of the art tech and cocktail bars on every floor. It was all shiny and black and just lots of money.
The second was opposite a strip club, covered in graffiti and walking up several flights of stairs into an attic space in Soho. Where we all sat around a coffee table with a pc on it and chatted to the studio. They worked to their own schedule they did work they loved doing and would often take on crazy projects and do animation styles they had never done before just because they could.

Whilst one studio told us certain software was dead the other studio told us they used it regularly. Whilst one studio said the client calls all the shots the other said we tell the client what we will deliver from their basic concept then they leave it up to us .

So two studios two completely different approaches. Both incredibly successful. If I took away one thing from yesterday, something I found really exciting and inspiring....

If you love doing something, you'll find a way to do it. It doesn't matter if youre not doing it the same way as everyone else. If you're passionate about following something you'll find a way of figuring it out and making it work. It's not an over night process often life takes you on detours and there will be set backs but keep pushing forward and you'll get there
