and how protesters were overrrunning the place, and junk
(which is awesome, good for them even though gas is climbing, whatever. I would pay 50 cents more a gallon to give millions of people their freedom from tyranny any day)
and it cuts to a video of three protesters that overtook an APC
and they are doing a shitload of sweet donuts in an intersection

life is pretty meh, and I'm getting swamped in every possible way
sorry if I haven't been talkative or very active around here or elsewhere
I'm naturally reclusive, so It takes a lot of effort for me to be socially active, especially when I'm working

I need to lay off the internet a while and the constant influx of messages and distractions on this site were just taking too much out of me on a daily basis
I want to try and be more personable and actually make worthwile comments on people's work on a regular basis
and in general, rely less on this site for social interaction, and focus on myself as an artist more than all the drama that goes on with people whom I dont even know
for all those who I've neglected to fave/comment on your work, I'm sorry
your stuff is awesome, but I just diddnt have the time to browse through thousands of submissions for every sigle one
hopefully now I can actually get some things done around here :I

RESIDENT EVIL AFTERLIFE 3D (possible spoilers)
Posted 15 years agoprobably one of the top ten most disappointing things I have ever spent 11$ on
quick list of my contemplations while watching this movie:
1. "Why the hell am I paying more to see this in only 3D when it would be just as good 2D and cheaper??"
2. "super sized umbrella facility, with highly trained gaurds, superior weaponry, and technology, and they cant beat a bunch of chicks spraying and praying dual smg's? low standards much?
3. WHY IS SHE USING GUNS AND SWORDS WHEN SHE HAS FUCKING PSYCHIC SUPERPOWERS? WTF?
4. opening fight scene, she's using full sized swords, throws one at a dude's head, it impales pretty far in, but nothing comes out the back WAY TO BE FUCKING LAZY MOVIE GRAPHICS PEOPLE
4.5 SUPER INTELLEGENT WESKER WOULD TOTALLY FORGET TO PUT THE AUTO PILOT ON, YEAH FUCKING RIGHT. there is no way in hell she would have survived that crash without the aid of her super virus anyway because IT WOULDNT HAVE FUCKING REGENERATED HER LIKE HE JUST SAID!!!!
5. she flies around in an old douglas dauntless bomber, which 99% of the time is fairly poorly CG animated.... THEY COULDNT HAVE JUST RENTED AN OLD BOMBER AND MADE THE SCENES LOOK HALF DECENT???
6. apparently continuity with the games/other parts of the RE franchise doesnt exist in this universe
7. in zombie filled LA, I can totally believe that FIVE FUCKING PEOPLE could barricade and secure an entire massive prison complex from hundreds of thousands of undead, and survive for years on nothing but prison food.
8. The Executioner and Las Plagas zombies.......... HOLY SHIT LA IS SUDDENLY PRETTY AFRICA ALL OF A SUDDEN
9. of course chris redfield is in the fucking city they land in BIGGEST FUCKING OBVIOUS COINCIDENCE IN THE HISTORY OF HISTORY
10. producer goes batshit and steals plane BECAUSE HE HE TOTALLY CAN FLY A PLANE TO SELFISH SAFETY WITH NO TRAINING WHATSOEVER
11. the executioner battle, and 99% of the whole movie for that matter, was not made better by being in slow motion. WAY TO DRAG THE MOVIE ON FOR FAR LONGER THAN IT NEEDED TO BE
12. of course the apc has no engine, luck apparently is a serious bitch in this universe, and likes to turn on you every five seconds
13. she jumps off the roof with a cable around her. PLAUSIBLE. she throws a backpack full of C4 into the crowd of roof zombies beforehand. LOGICAL. the C4 explodes, taking out the whole roof, but NOT taking out the support for the wire holding her against the building?........ PHYSICS AND LOGIC, WHERE HAVE YOU GONE?
13.5. A shotgun that shoots quarters. perfectly plausable, but how the hell does she get all the damn shells she uses without having complex reloading equipment? really makes no sense along with the fact that she dual wields smith and wesson 500 magnum revolvers like they are kids toys shooting with the recoil of a .22
13.7. UMBRELLA IS BEHIND EVERYTHING, EVER. GET THAT THROUGH YOUR THICK FUCKING SKULLS PEOPLE!

just a little something to get me going on them, but not be too much of a hassle yet.

I found a 20$ bill in the parking lot at work that I lost A WEEK AGO.
I had a nice day at work, even though I worked two shifts because it was slow and I diddnt have to do much work compared to my normal workload.
It was payday at work, and I got cash for my paycheck because I'm not registered as an employee yet..... so my 250$ paycheck is pretty much tax free XD (at least according to my mom)
and last night i had a dream that was freaking amazing
IT WAS ABOUT BABY OPOSSUMS
and they were all crawling in my shirt
being adorable and clinging to me and leeching off my body heat
it was AWESOME QuQ

worked two jobs, bakery and diner, strung myself out but made lots of cash, then I finally quit the bakery THANK FUCKING GOD and now I"m only working at the diner. ,stressed out over finals for a week, studied my ass off during bouts of insomnia passed my finals with A's and B's that I thought I would get C's and D's on!! :DDDD and now I'm just working through the summer to pay off my college loan and start fresh in the fall with good credit.
I cant tell you how nice it is to have this job as a busboy at the diner
its not just the better and safer work environment, or better pay compared to the bakery
its the people I work with and how much they appreciate me and the things I do which I consider trivial, but they love.
All the other busboys this diner has employed were incompetent druggies that would party all night and not show up for work the next day. Then I come along, showing up on time and leaving late, working hard and not goofing off, putting the extra effort into saving time and effort for the waitresses, and cleaning everything spotlessly, and the waitresses thought I was a goddamn miracle! Everyone loves me for how hard I work every day, and its just something that comes to me naturally! I dont even stand still for more than a minute most days because I'm always finding something to clean or restock or work on, and I get so much praise for it! :D
I love the people I work with because they are nice to me and genuinely care about me
I love the work because it keeps me busy and pays me well most days
and I love the fact that I now work with my mom and sister (who are waitresses) which lets us spend time together in a family that has hardly ever been together and not miserable at the same time
and the thing I love most of all
I'm happy.

Posted 15 years agofirst let me say that I am NOT canceling any trade or other project I have going on at the moment
this journal is just an update for those I am trading with or people that are trying to contact me or whatever.
This is just a heads up for anyone that might be questioning why I havent been too active or accessible within the last week or two
I just started working two jobs in the past two weeks, and its really played havoc on my schedule, schoolwork, body, and mind. For almost a year now, I've been working at a bakery which has gradually become a hell on earth for me with horrible working conditions and the damage its been doing to my back, knees, and neck. An opportunity arose to work with my mom at the diner a town over, and so I leaped at the chance of having a job where the interior was AIR CONDITIONED and not a 400 degree oven's heat and humidity on top of the baking summer heat that is already peeking into Pennsylvania.
Unfortunately my mother jumped the gun and started me working as a busboy before I had even given in my two week notice at the bakery: because apparently it looks bad if you just up and leave like every other teenage douchebag that works there, lol. so for the last two weeks I've been working both jobs, and often on the SAME day, and each requires alot of lifting, twisting, and exertion which has left me beaten and dead tired and I just havent had any energy to even turn on the computer most of the time.
not to mention the fact that this leaves me zero time to do my homework with school on tuesdays and thursdays and work monday, wendsday, and friday. D:
add that onto the fact that I'm having another shitty emotional battle with myself due to something I learned in Psychology class about child development.
Apparently if there isnt enough parental direction and social interaction during the adolescent years, which I had about zero of, then a child does not learn to self actualize and does not realize what they want to do or who they are and they lose direction and just wander aimlessly through college and life trying to find out who they are and what they are supposed to do.
this really hit me hard because it describes exactly what I'm going through right now, and explains so much about certain things about myself. I don't know what I want to do with my life, so I;m just taking a variety of classes to try and find my niche, and my drawing style changes almost daily because I take style elements from other people in an effort to find what my style should look like but I only end up copying them, and I feel like I move from friend to friend quickly and ignore some because I'm just searching for somewhere or something to belong to and be able to say that I am.
I think that's why I draw anthro shit but dont really consider myself a "furry"
I love the nice people and great artistic skill, but I just KNOW that its not what I am
its not something I want to be or devote my life to, or be defined solely as.
just a vacation from normal where I can stop for a bit, feel like I belong, and then continue my journey towards self-actualization.
so, anyway, I would like to say that I'm sorry for ignoring everyone, but I'm going to continue to be a bit absent for another week while I get everything sorted out and finally quit the fucking bakery >:T
And now for a few personal notes to my friends and current trades:
KENNEDY: I'm sorry for not getting your necklace done and painted yet, I've been really busy and I just haven't had time to run out to the art store and get neon paints and lacquer to seal them. I promise that I will get it done as soon as I can and ship it with your bookmarks and such.

unfortunately I lost all my works in progress, but all my family and friend pictures were saved, so at least it wasn't a total loss
the problem appeared to be that the harddrive was damaged, so we just erased the drive and reinstalled the OS to a different disk and everything works fine now.

1) I am a complete Zombie Apocalypse nerd. I have all my supplies, plans, and weapons prepared to survive the inevitable zombie hordes. some people say its weird, but it also prepares you for many other doomsday scenarios at the same time :D

2) I hardly ever post here or do journals because most of my friends here are on dA too, so I don't see the point in double-journal-post-spamming them all the time, lol. I'm probably going to start up soon, though c:
3) I have never thrown the first punch in a fight, my mom taught me that. Because then everything you do after that can usually be labeled as self defense, hehehe >;3c
4) I fucking LOVE mustard. I will eat mustard on just about anything, I even ate it on icecream once as a dare :P
5) I have never had a girlfriend or meaningful relationship, ever. I have a lot of emotional damage and trust issues from my childhood, and I just haven't felt ready to love someone else until I take care of those flaws in myself UnU
plus....... girlfriends are EXPENSIVE @u@;;
6) Sometimes I can be thoughtful and kind, and sometimes I can be a total ass. this leads me to think that I might be bipolar because I switch moods quickly and sometimes I'm just downright manic depressive. :c
7) None of my RL friends (except kosodoro I guess), parents, siblings, etc. know that I draw anthro art. I just feel ashamed at the possibility of being labeled a "furry" because of the negative connotations that come along with it and that it really isn't the only part of who I am, its just a facet of my interests. I want to become a serious artist who is good in all subjects or mediums, but for now anthro is just a fun escape from reality and the rules and constraints of the fine arts, a way to make a few weird and cool friends, and a learning experience to develop my skills outside of class. :/
also some of my friends are anti-furry, so that's always kind of awkward, lol XD
