Hey all! First off, sorry for this huge absence :c

I moved back in August to a new house in a semi rural area where internet is absolute shit. We had to build a 15 meter steel tower to attach a radio antenna for internet's, but when it came down to it we couldn't get a signal and now we have to relocate said tower and we have no money for it... -_-

I have been relying on my carrier's data plan for everyday access, wich is okay but prevents me from doing my usual stuff, and going to friend's house with my laptop once a week, mostly to keep up with Feedly/Tumblr and save other ppl's art. This method usually leaves me no time to clear up here or on DeviantArt are tho...

We are in deep financial shit on my household so I don't know when we'll be able to sort this internet stuff. I swear to God I'm about to go crazy, may sound like a joke but reliable internet access should be a given right, the fact you're very limited when you're trying to look up stuff or learn something really pulls the brakes on a modern lifestyle. It's plainly awfull.

2015 was a pretty shitty year.

And i’ve only just began recovering from it. But the reality is life has been a bit downhill since 2009 for me. It punched me so hard, with broken hearts, broken dreams, diseases, surgeries, huge debt and finally collapsing to abysmal depression spanning quite a few years.

Then 2015 took the challenge, it broke down my business, it finished tearing up my finances (and my mom’s, and my dad’s), sunk me to Mariana depths, it threatened to kill important people and then when we were sighing in relief, it did.

I get it now Bethesda, 8-year-olds should be immortal...

I grew up mostly estranged from my extended family, living 1600+ km’s away. but in my late teens I was reintroduced and It couldn’t have been more amazing, we are still separated by the same distance but always itching for the next time we’ll be around, for the time we’ll finally move back.

Then in my early twenties I was gifted with a few new sets of cousins, for the first time i wasn’t the youngest and had so much fun with them.

It was quite a silly accident, she was riding a bike in front of her house, she fell to the side and hit a rock.

I’m still trying to process this, even tho it happened back in September, but I guess i won’t truly understand until I walk through the front door of her house. Not being there was one of the worst parts, feels like you’re being denied a basic right. But even tho we could scramble the cash to go we were stuck in our city.

Lie is still taking it’s course but I’m starting to react again. I helped my dad solve one of the major issues consuming him, I’m off my meds, I’m back to drawing sem-regularly.

The most important thing now is figuring a course for my life, I wasted quite a bit of time, but i’m working on it.

I don’t usually share this sort of personal stuff, but there are a few folks out there that deserve to know why I was so inconsistent in my online presence, sorry :) and thanks to all of you that gave me some love in the latest years <3

aaaand finally, what little time I have I gladly giver it to gaming, my PS3 is still proving he was one of the best investments I ever made hehe, and with prices of games plummeting in Brasil now that everyone is (trying) to migrate to (the hugely expensive around here) PS4, i'm having a party.

There's been a lot happening in the meantime, Mom had surgery for another brain tumor (she's fine, I got pictures!,), Mid-life crisis and whatnot

Mom just went through 12 hours of surgery yesterday to remove a tumor from the meninges. she is fine and no harm was done to the brain, nerve endings and arteries.

That's reason 1 why I've been gone for so long

Reason 2 was 6 month long unproductive period


reason 3: I've been busy setting up a t-shirt business with a few friends.

so mom is "fine", the business is almost running and i'm back to the drawing table, soon enough I shall resume the art posting :)

You didn't know I did photographs? well yep, I'm a full on artsy fartsy, so I dun bought a nice 20 year old nikon back in 08 and been making a few 36mm. works since then.

And, not only are these works going to be sold at a local Fine Arts Fair, I already sold 3 to a a huge collector.
And I'm now part of the collection at the gallery I work at....

My mind is seriously blown, It's been a while since something good like that happened to me :D
That is also why I have been kinda of away, work at the gallery has kept me after hours, and RL has it's shares of other things to solve

Paraiso is a community driven adventure comic, kinda like Homestuck and Prequel, by the incredibly skilled Tsampikos.

dude it's been 2 years since I posted something worth noticing in this journal XD

so here is to excuse myself: this very large absence was actually two large absences linked

In Oct 2009 i finished a 4 year relationship with someone i loved very much, and it was completely nasty, spent the first half of '10 moping around =P

When i was ready to get things going again my mother was diagnosed with a brain tumor, a pituitary macroadenoma, benign, and kushing's disease, and diabetes, and osteoporosis, and bad luck. This was around Oct/Nov '10, tense hollydays. problems wih health insurance issued cuz they just didn't want to autorize the surgery, me managed to get her operated in Porto Alegre on March, at this time i quit my job so I could take care of her.

It couldn't have gone smoother, surgery is done through the nose and was done in 3 hours, 15 days at the hospital and we were heading home, I barely believed it. Since then she is been struggling with Kushing and other side-dishes the tumor caused, one day she is fine the other she is bedridden, she is incredibly strong tho and we can't really complain. We were very very lucky.

aaaand I plan on sticking around this time =)

thx for support and occasional knocks on the door asking where I was, those are incredibly important to me ;_;
