Posted 11 years agoWelcome to Furvention which is our brand new convention being held in the big international city of Liverpool from the 23rd of Januari 2015 until the 26th of Januari 2015.
Our venue for the new convention is being held in the wonderful Holiday Inn Liverpool City Centre which is located just a short distance from the main Liverpool Lime Street train station.
Which are found right in the heart of a bustling city with a vibrant and colourful history. The venue itself is built on top of St Johns Market with 139 bedrooms, a restaurant, 24 hour room service, gym facilities, Parking facilities in the nearby car park with discount, 2 bars and Convention Space to boot.

Posted 12 years agoI just recieved the message from HBO.nl that I am one of the lucky winners of the photo competition they had on the Mid Winter Fair. I had no idea this was a photo competition, only a place where you could take a photo on the throne.
I just won the "Inside HBO’s Game of Thrones" book, not sure if I will be IN the book, though. :p

I only have a few small items to sell (Home brewed coffee likeur bottles of 20ml) Will pay half of the table, so don't worry about that.
The point is, I am also running an event on all the days of the convention so I can't be at the table much.

Roomed and drove together with
Thabo to Hinkley.
We picked up
BigBouncyFurries on Friday, I had my own personal bouncer >:3
Running the Artist Alley was a blast, all kinds of artists sad down and relaxed had a chat an drew whatever they wanted. I LOVED it and I hope I can be part of the staff to run this event next year again.
There wasn't a single moment that I was alone (well, I went to the bathroom and showered alone but that's really all) There was even a moment when I was cuddling on a nice sofa with BigBouncyFurries that more people joined in the hugfest. And even on Sunday I was spacing out on a sofa high on chocolate of a desert in a Grill Restaurant nearby the hotel.
Got Legends of Valanor signed by
FoxAmoore and the big poster I got signed by FoxAmoore and 
AlectorFencer
So many hugs, so many awesome conversations, so many new people as friends of my 3DS!
also: I heard at ALL the European DVD's of Bitter Lake got sold out this convention~!

DVD release and Life updates

After its successful premiere last August at Eurofurence 17, Bitter Lake has now made its way to DVD!
We are proud to announce that everyone in the world can now watch the movie from the comfort of their
own home as there is now an NTSC and PAL version!
The Bitter Lake DVD comes in a unique book design dvd-case and contains the main movie subtitled in
German, French or English. As an extra they added a cool 30 minute 'Behind the scenes' feature to the disc
so everyone can experience first hand how the movie was made.
In addition they made a new extended trailer of the feature film.
Both trailer and order information for the DVD can be found on a new section of the Bitter Lake website
Keep an eye out for more information on future EZwolf and 
Wolly productions. They have some serious plans!
All proceeds of the Bitter Lake DVD sales will be used to invest in future productions.

Bitter Lake, the movie

Bitter Lake is the first live action full motion picture to be made in the Furry Fandom and is the second EZwolf and Shay production to date. Produced entirely by the crew itself and sponsored by Eurofurence, Bitter Lake combines the creative skills of a small team of enthusiastic and driven people and shows what can be done with minimum resources in a very short timeframe. Shot entirely on location in France and the Netherlands in HD 35 mm, Bitter Lake will premiere at Eurofurence 17 in August of 2011 and will feature an original sound track by Fox Amoore.

Bitter Lake is the first live action full motion picture to be made in the Furry Fandom and is the second EZwolf and Shay production to date. Name meaning: 'Dignified, severe cold'
The name sounds a bit like Kirin, but she is not a Kirin! She is a White Furry Artic dragon, all the way from the North of Japan. Her element is ice. This AC she finally grew her horns. She is adopted by Mingchun. She's still a little kid, and acts that way.
Mingchun or 明春

CHINESE ZODIAC MADNESS

Trpdwarf had a brilliant idea!!!!!Wouldn't it be nice if we could try to get most or not all of the animals of the Chinese zodiac showing up to the other chinese restaruant? Specifically fur-suits!
That means we need or hope to get dragons, tigers, rats, pigs, rabbits, sheep, oxen, snakes(that one might be hard to find), horse, monkeys, dogs, and rooster.
Now for dragons we have me and
Trpdwarf to show up as easties. We welcome westies too.For Tigers, any cats who want to show up in suit, it'll do. I would like at least one actual tiger suit though.
For rats, we just need rats. Although I suppose mice fur-suits work too!
Dogs, any canine that falls within the dog family or similar (canis) will do.
Horses, I know there are not that many fur-suits out there but we welcome unicorns too (that will work).
Ram/sheep....we welcome either or.
Snake....errr...I've only seen one snake-suit and I don't know if that person will be at AC. That said if we can't get a snake...uh...well we might have to do without.
Oxen....anything that is a bull, minotaur...something like that will do.
Monkeys...well lemurs work well for this. So lemur furs, if have a lemur suit that would out great for this. I welcome other monkey species too!
Rooster? Err...that one too might be a little difficult. I suppose getting a bird suit to come along would do or we'll just do without.
So if you have suits to fall into this, let me know if you plan to be going to AC. I'll have more a time-frame of when we will surprise the place later as I get people showing interest and pledging to do this.
That said....non suiters are welcome. The main thing is, peeps coming along need to buy something. We can decide later to eat there or go somewhere else. But the family runs it as a family, and so there are kids there. So it might be wise for to decide to eat elsewhere after we pick up the food.
The other thing, the format in which we will do this is to form the animals in bunches those that have multiple representations...and send them in a chronological order.
It will go in this order according to the mythos:
Rat
Ox
Tiger
Rabbit
Dragon
Snake
Horse
Ram
Monkey
Rooster
Dog
Pig
We'll set someone up ahead of time with a camera to catch the entire thing. We'll send in the first group, let them order, send in the next, and so forth and so on. Then if we have non suiters coming along we may split them up to help with spotting or send the excess afterwords.
I'll probably have us gather outside one of the hotels or the convention center.
That said if you know you are going to AC, or you know someone going who fits as part of this, drop a message to
