As promised, here's how I put it together, taking it from -> THIS <- to -> THIS <-.

The original didn't have panels or gutters, so I added those.

On the left, I had divided up the page to four parts and spaced them out. The black area is a grid I created on a second layer above the first so I could see if I was placing everything properly.

On the right, I created a transparent layer between them and used the pencil tool as a pen to trace over the original. Then I just turned it white for the gutters and used an outline tool that comes with Photoshop to add the panels. A quick bucket fill of white, then flattening all layers created Layer 1, the digitally inked version shown -> HERE <-.

With the ink done, it's time to add color.
