Lauren Rivers is an angel, being trained to retrieve lost souls and pass them on to the afterlife.
Agent Varryance Preez and Agent Bunny's investigation takes a drastic turn into the unexpected...
And the final pieces fall into place.....

Father Caine - A male black cat, and a priest in the Sacred Heart church.
Agent In Charge Lyndon Brennan - A male elephant who is in charge of the NY branch of the FBI.

I wonder if you've figured it out yet? :) *giggles* Part 2 and 3 are more actioney than part 1, cuz of course part one started with the set up. ;)
I'm pretty impressed with myself on this one. :) It took me a little longer to do this one than the first, and part 3 won't be worked on til after Anthrocon, so it'll be a little while. :)
So far it's shaping up to be a pretty good trilogy. :)

It's almost scary to me how well this is working out. I'm very impressed with how a field I don't usually play with is just kicking ass, you know? I don't usually deal with angels and such, preferring to stick with scifi/fantasy, but it's nice to know that my patterns work for any story. :)

I've been trying to do some drawing again using the live streams as a teaching aid and I just finished a piece of writing for halflinger that I've started a synopsis for the next part but I'm going to put all that down for this.
P.S. My ADHD thingy distracted me from reading the other part of your other book . Gosh do I hate when that happens I'll try to read it right after I read this so that I can give you the next critique

Oh, yes. :) *grins* Lauren and Garret are going to have to fight Anubis in the church. :) Needless to say they're no match for him now, but it'll still be way cool. :)
I think you'll like the ending I've got planned for part 3. I still have to figure out how to get myself out of this mess I've made, but the afterglow will be quite nice. ;)

Excellent job, Lauren! If Oronos does get to fight in the next one, just remember his signature weapon is a pole axe. It doesn't have to be his original one, as a spirit or undead being can't touch it without getting blow to bits, but that along with a curved sword are his trademarks.

With proper incantations, spoken in his homelands' language; AKA Lerstarian, he can create streams of fire, ice or lightning, or even coat his fists in those elements as well and/or imbue weapons with those elements as well. By focusing enough of his energy, he can create infernal explosions, bursts of blinding electrical sparks or a wave of deathly cold ice around him.

Awesome. :) This was an experiment for me, I'm trying a somewhat scifi approach to religion, and so far it's working out very well. I'm very happy with how it's shaping up, and when I finish part three I might concentrate on a few projects percolating in my head. At the moment I'm working on the warship series of mine, which of course after I finish that there are tons of projects I need to do.. LOL.
Oh yes, particularly this one. Rarely do I write religious themed action or whatnot, so this is an experiment for me. Partly to prove that I can do just about anything if allowed to experiment. :)

Well, there were two things that caught my eye on this one, but they could just be my own personal taste. There were points where you used the characters entire name, first and last, and it felt unnecessary. The only other thing, was the sheer amount of characters. I know there probably isn't much you can do about that, but at times, I actually got a little confused. Like I said though, these are simply personal taste.
