I wanted to get at least a few more pictures of myself at the con, so I got this. It's a picture of Arrow jumping down from a higher elevation, or dropping out of flight into a landing; you can interpret it either way. In either case, its quite cool!
It's also the first picture that depicts Arrow wearing a satchel. That's modeled after a satchel I use at conventions to carry stuff around, which I'm considering making a permanent character accessory, as pockets or ways of carrying items other than in your hands are fairly necessary. Any thoughts on this?
Scanned on crappy old HP scanner.

And actually, using the one I have as a base, the whole thing is adjustable. The thing slides quite freely to the front or back with no resistance. Naturally, however, it obeys gravity and hangs as low as it can, so that would, by default, take it out of the way during flight. :>
I got a satchel for the cons instead of a backpack, because a satchel can easily be accessed with one hand, without having to remove it. A backpack, the other choice, generally must be at least partially removed in order to access its contents. Furthermore, a satchel rests on your side, under your lower arm, thus making it more difficult to steal from.
I kinda figured Arrow would wear the same for most of those reasons, especially the fact it would hang on his chest in flight, potentially being leg-accessible. Further, the straps of a backpack would likely cover the chest marking, which is something I didn't want.
As for the material for the satchel...I'm unsure. The real one is mostly nylon, yes. What did you mean by primal? Wild, or primitive or...something else? I was planning to shortly get a picture of Arrow doing computer repair and such, so primitive is out of the question. On a related note, would be nice to have the satchel be not-brown, given how much of Arrow is already brown. :>

I dunno, maybe I'm getting Arrow crossed with Kawheek, but you always have him drawn clothed only in his magnificent redtail plumage. That's awesome, but I guess I always took that to mean you were leaving him a bit on the feral side yet. If you had plans to commission Arrow doing computer work, that rather blows that out of the water, though.
As for the EXISTENCE of the satchel, that's perfectly logical. I'm completely with you on that.

The lack of clothing applies more to my own personal opinions about clothing on bird avs, which roughly boils down to the fact that clothing would rub against the feathers uncomfortably and potentially damage or tear them, and as such, clothing would be minimal. Additionally, it would likely get pretty hot with all of that. Birds are already prone to overheating in normal temperatures with just feathers!
The two main purposes of clothing are environmental protection(which feathers provide) and modesty, which birds have no need of, so I've kept it off of Arrow. Kawheek includes clothing because, admittedly, I had very little hand in the process of that picture; I offered little initial concept and few suggestions, but it just came out so awesome that I had to keep it. :>

Beautiful artwork here and favorited. I love hawks sooo much. I have the same fursona, but I am only going for the feathered hands and not the Gryphon look for my Red-Tailed Hawk Fursuit that is being worked on right now. So far I hadn't officially named him but I have a few leading names for him.
Again...amazing artwork...pose and how its protraited...love it.
Im really starting to think of having talons on my hands quite alot now since seeing your character.
Oh wow..i love that...that Satchel is a wonderful idea! Its lightweight for flying and moving fast (You being a martial artist) and ive always thought TFing into a bird anthro ya gonna need extra things to carry yet cant, so that is a really clever idea. Really like that Arrow!
Might invest in something like that too.
As you can see, your submitted artwork is really inspiring me..heh.
