oh that's right - you're American~ the 'Sweet as' or 'Cool as' or 'Neat as' kind of expression of delight is a New Zealand slang.
Usually the full expression would be something like 'Sweet as cake' or ' Cool as ice' but since New Zealanders are lazy in words - the just skip the last word ^^;
