Chucky wants so badly to be with Nimsha that he took every friendly gesture of her's as an invitation. Unfortunately, their cultural differences resulted in both of them getting a little hurt. I just wanna make it known that Nimsha is not a speciesist. Siberian culture of Chucky's era just does not accept inter-species relationships.

Awkward and a disappointment for them both. But this is still supposed to be very early (the first couple of weeks?) of their time at aviation school, and it would be at time of learning about all the cultural differences the students have. This is a good time to learn about themselves as well as aircraft.

Hmmm I see that the signals on the old rabbit ears got crossed up in the meaning of one and the other. But Chucky is letting his little head think for his big head. She means well but out of her element makes her uneasy, to chuckys dismay.. I think they will be closer now because of it. ;)

Despite the awkwardness, I think deep down she's probably flattered by his desire for her. Perhaps she'll be willing to try later on. :) Personally I don't think they'd work out together, they're too different, he's really just jumping at the first warm body cause he's horny, but so like a guy.

Chucky's lucky that he has his "crew" (Adam, Dave and Kitchy) to console him, I'm not sure if Nimsha has anyone like that (except maybe her R.A. perhaps?), worse...her friends are sooo far away...
Nimsha's expressions in the last too panels really make me feel for her...
