Slotting When orders are placed and received for "slots," they are being measured in the amount of time a piece takes, rather than as one commission slot. One slot does not equal one commission. A "slot" is an allotted amount of time, based on the piece's complexity. Larger pieces consume more slots, smaller pieces consume less slots. Less slots does not mean less quality, rather, it is just a general measurement of time it takes for a piece of its size. We break down pieces into slot sizes, so we can evenly disperse our workload throughout the work day, which is typically equal to 8 to 10 hours. Streams in particular are measured in slots. Shorter streams take on less slots, because there is less time to work with, so we will only take on work equal to the slots allowed for the day. Slotting sizes are as follows: -Sketches, icons, headshots, and stickers: 0.5 slots, +0.5 per additional character -Lineart: 1 slot, +1 per additional character -Greyscale and simple-toned: 1 slot, +1 per additional character -Flat color: 2 slots, +1 per additional character -Full render: 3 slots, +2 per additional character Any questions about commissions, slotting, or anything else, please feel free to send us a Note at any time!
