Tier 1 - Rough StoryWhat is a rough story?
A tier 1 rough story commission, also known as a draft story, is a short story in which minimal edits have been performed. Typically at this quality level some sections of the story may not be as detailed or flushed out and some dialog may be a bit contrived when compared to higher tiers. A single draft version will be provided once the story is written and the commissioner will be given a chance to provide feedback and make changes. Once all feedback has been collected, a single pass at editing will be performed.
Guarantee
While I try to ensue even the most rough story is spelling and grammar mistake free, I cannot guarantee that a few won't slip past editing. I do guarantee my work however, if you spot a spelling or glaring grammatical error, I will fix it and provide an updated copy.

Tier 2 - Standard StoryWhat is a standard story?
A tier 2 story commission consists of a short story that is more flushed out then your standard tier 1 story. Dialog is made to feel fluid and natural, while more attention to detail is put on constructing flowing narrative. In a standard story commission, a single work in progress draft will provided at the mid-way point so that the commissioner has a chance to provide feed back and help shape the developing story. Upon completion of the story, the commissioner will received a first draft and be given an opportunity once again to provide feedback. Once feedback has been received a single pass on edits will be performed, before a new draft is created and sent to the commissioner. Finally, a second pass on edits will be performed based on final draft.

Tier 3 - Polished StoryWhat is a polished story?
A tier 3 polished story is the best writing I can do. This short story is written with a very fine attention to detail and makes extensive use of imagery, allusion and metaphor. Dialog is natural and the story should flow from one idea to the next. I strive to use as many active verbs as possible to create more a engaging story in which the characters live the events and not just experience them.
The process of a polished story is much more in depth, starting with multiple work in progress versions sent regularly during the writing process with multiple opportunity for revision. Once the story has been completed, I perform a first pass on edits to flush out any scenes that are lacking and to add additional detail. Once this first edit is complete, a first draft would then be sent to the commissioner to provide feedback. Additional drafts and edits are performed until the commissioner is happy with the story, though I do reserve the right to limit edits if changes get out of hand. Finally, one last pass on spelling, grammar and word choice is performed to ensure the most error free work.

Creative Control
Due to the nature of tier 3 stories, you must be willing to give me a fair amount of creative control to ensure the story, plot and details all fit together in a cohesive final story. While I will do my best to accommodate any plot points you wish to see, sometimes plot points will need to be cut in order to tell a more compelling narrative.

References
While not required, character references (visual refs ideally) and a point-by-point plot summary make writing tier 3 stories much easier. A point-by-point plot summary outlines all important or critical events you would like to see in your story. If you do not provide one of these, you are giving me creative license to invent the story as I see fit. I will discuss with you what my ideas are before I actually write the story however. |

Bal'kar Canon StoryFor those wishing their story to be set in the bal'kar canon universe, I am offering a $5 discount on tier 3 commissioned stories. To be set in the bal'kar universe the story must include bal'kar, or references to the bal'kar.
All canon bal'kar story lines must be reviewed and approved by  Neox and myself to ensure it fits into our official story plan. While I will do my best to accommodate the commissioner's wishes and feedback, some details of a canon story may be mandatory. More then ever, with a canon bal'kar story, you are giving me creative freedom to tell an interesting and compelling story that will fit within the bal'kar universe Neox and myself have forged. |

Cover ArtIf you so desire, cover art can be created with your story specifically in mind. This art would be created by one of the artists I work with and tailored specifically to your story. Chapter IllustrationsAs an option, I can work with an artist to create chapter illustrations that will be spaced out between each chapter in the story and will depict an iconic scene from the preceding chapter. This art will be provided both as part of the finished PDF as well as a high res copy.
