GENERAL COMMISSION INFOThese are my general commission info, about subject, payment methods, work time, refunds, and whatsoever.
TLDR version first for the lazy asses. if you have questions there's more below. if you still have questions, send me a note ;)
TLDR OF HOW I WORK:
1) You give me your idea and the references you got so we can see how i can make it work out for you.
2) I make you a quick sketch that you can change for free, while I estimate the price so you can say decide to proceed or not. If you are ok with the sketch I'll send you the paypal invoice.
3) When i get the payment I'll start the actual work on the commission and send the finished version to you. You can ask for wips or minor changes
4) No refunds after payment. that's why point 2) exist. Major changes after the initial agreement and payment will constitute a extra charge.
I generally proceed like this:
I get the commission request by you, the customer, and I will evaluate if I can provide the service for you.
This means that I will analize your request and look trough the references (if you have any) of your character to fit it in my schedule and complete the commission in a reasonable amount of time. In case I have very little time to dedicate to a commission, for example, I will warn you that it could take longer than expected, so you can accept to wait more or simply be included in a waiting list. All of this is obviously before paying anything, and for me accepting the commission, so we both have the chance to change our minds without making any fuss about it.
In this phase I will extimate the work hours I will have to put in the commission and other complicating factors (see notes below) and provide you the corresponding price.
After having informed you that I can take the commission, and before you pay anything to me, i will send you to an email address you will provide, a preliminary sketch. This sketch is free, and mind that these preliminary sketches are meant to be done very quickly, because their purpose is to establish early the pose of the character, the scene and so on, before diving in the actual work. In this phase we can adjust and change the sketch as much as we want, so i can later on work more efficiently and we can avoid slowdowns, changes and so on.
Once the sketch is approved, I will send you a paypal invoice to your email and I will start working on the sketch once I have the payment completed notification from paypal. If you request it, I can update you with wip pictures of the work. I will finally send the finished piece to your email and upload it on my profiles, such as FA, Sofurry and e621 for example. If you want, you can ask me not to upload the commission anywhere and keep it private, but you have to do that as well. Under no circumstances you are allowed to edit out my signature or my name out of the image(s) and claim my work as yours. I, too, am not allowed under any circumstances to not credit you in the image or claim your characters/environments/story ideas as mine.
Linking my FA profile or other in the description of your commission, when you upload it somewhere, is not really required, but it will be very nice.
NOTES:
- There are very few subjects that I won't absolutely do such as underage/severe torture or mutilation/extreme inflation-balooning/muscle growth/transformation/bodily functions.
- Complicating factors are to be considered things like detailed environments, complex tattoos, complex anatomy (taurs, wings, multiple arms), multiple characters interacting, the kind of coloring method. Basically things that dramatically complicates the work.
- Deciding to change a major feature even slightly (pose, environment, ecc) will cost a extra fee. This fee is calculated considering the extent of the change requested. If the client still wants to make that change, I will stop my work and send a change fee invoice and wait for that to be paid before I continue further.
- If you wish, you can ask me to make only the lineart for a commission, and pay for that, and later on make it color by me (with a corresponding fee) or by someone else of your choice. If you choose to have someone else to color my work, it would be nice if i get a heads up. Choose the right guy, and then poke me back, i'd love to see how my works are being colored!
- Single illustrations can take from as low a 3 days and up to several months, depending on my schedule and commission complexity itself
- Payment is always and only in British Pound £ currency via PAYPAL. Check the excanges rates first to make sure the price is right for you.
- if you wish to have multiple characters in a image that are not owned by you, I must first have the direct written consent of the owners before even making the preliminary sketch. The payment can be done by a single person, or by multiple customers if it is a collab. In that case, I'll send separate invoices ( with the price correctly split ) to the customers involved, and I will start when all partial invoices are paid. If one of third parties wants to withdraw their contribution for whatever reason, the no refunds policy applies to all parties if a payment has been made. If a third party wants to withdraw before paying, the no refunds policy applies to those who already paid their share while the party that havent paid and wants to withdraw will be edited out of the final piece.
REFUNDS:
Once the payment is sent via paypal, the transaction is final. No refunds are allowed except strict cases, and my discretion. The free sketch process is also designed to show the customer a preview of the work, so if it don't fit with the expectation, the customer is still able to refuse to proceed further. Sending the payment is an unspoken consent to accept the work for what it is.
It is my job to provide the best quality for the paid price to satisfy the customer expectations.
However, if for some reason i am not able to complete the commisson, i will notify the customer and discuss about a refund. In this case the partial refund will be proportional at the remaining time not used to finish the work. This way the customer will recieve the unfinished image and the original working file, with the partial refund corresponding. If the customer is ok to wait for the resolution of the problem that impaires me to finish the commission, there is no need to issue a refund.
If the content i provided is sub-par relative to my recent works, it is my job to correct that for free.
Thanks for taking your time to read this wall of text and considering to commission me. All this info are meant to have the most professional relationship between customer and artist trough clarity. As i said before, this should have all the info needed, but feel free to send me a note if you have further doubts. |
