As soon as I completed the MMC5 version of this chiptune, I realized that the musical complexity was such that it could be ported to the default 2A03 chipset with only a few sacrifices. The melody's echo is gone, some bass instruments have been folded into the triangle wave and some of the brass hits have been replaced with arpeggios, but otherwise this was trivial to adapt with some care and spare time. And the Sunsoft-style DPCM melodic timpani is fully intact - the default 2A03 chip was always fully capable of it.
