Here's a story with a good bit of story behind it, more than can be shared here, but I'll start by saying that those of you who haven't played Undertale don't need to do so to understand anything in this story.

Oh yeah, I'm also going to apologize up front to people who found this because they were looking for Undertale things only to (possibly) be disappointed.

My friend  flyingwolf, after hyping the Hell out of it, bought me Undertale, which became like the next Madoka for me with how much I obsessed over it for the next half year. One of the many fun things for us to do was imagine what our characters would be like if they happened to find their way into this world, and one such thing was if my new guy Jeremy from Life Lessons ( www.furaffinity.net/view/19437700/ ) had done so...in particular, if he had wandered into Temmie Village. Things went on from there, but it involved: A) Him being the "midwife" to the Temmie watching a hard-boiled egg; B) The egg actually hatching into another Temmie; C) Said mini-Temmie thinking he was her daddy, which meant he accidentally married a Temmie...you get the idea, it got kinda crazy. Y'know, because Temmies are so normal.

Time went on, and the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to make this an actual thing with him, which meant figuring out what Temmie Village and the Temmies were like in real life. I do have some things worked out in the background, but they aren't super relevant to this story and I'd rather show than tell if I ever continue this. You could think of Valkyrie, aka Kyrie, and her daughter Freya as kind of a collection of the Temmies in-game, albeit way less manic and developed into their own characters, with Kyrie's fixed-up junk store as something like the Temmie Shop.

But what motivated me to actually start writing this into a story was my friend, again. We're both writers, but we have pretty different writing styles. I'm slow and methodical; he does most of his writing in single sittings when inspiration hits. I admit, I was kind of jealous of that, even though I'd rather write my own stories than write someone else's...so one day I challenged myself, "I'm going to get this done in a single day." And wow, I did: I got the first chapter of this story done in one day. The next day, I challenged myself to do it again, and I did it again with chapter 2. After that...things slowed down as I slipped into my usual style of writing ideas and planning out a skeleton to fill in as I went, but I was still writing faster than I usually did. It helped when I had this story idea brewing in my head for weeks already.

UPDATE
I originally put this up in mid-June, but after it was pointed out to me that Freya sounds more like she's 7 years old than 3 years old, I did some major revamping and added a prologue to make things hopefully work better. I like this result more, anyway.
