Pregnancy is rarely easy, and not just for the mother.
I'll admit something up front: This is vent art.
I'm going to be vague on purpose cause I'm already kind of embarrassed I went ahead and wrote this out, and also cause I don't need to draw attention to exactly what's been bugging me when I'm the one with the problem. But there's this story and character that's been going around the online circles I frequent, and the more I see them, the more they annoy me and the more I think things are too happy with them. Well it went on long enough that, one day, one of the artists asked, "Tired of seeing this character yet?" And my immediate answer was, "Yes I am, and if that's how I feel, I should work up the motivation to counterbalance things."
The seed for this idea took immediate root in my head and, intentionally or not, I cultivated it into this. I hold myself to higher standards than writing spitefiction, so I did what every artist does sometimes and took it out on my characters.
I keep not meaning to use these characters and this setting because it's just me playing house again...and yet, I keep coming back to them. Who knows how far they'll go?
