Seeking help with my story projects

As many of you know, I am developing a book series that features autistic ponies. Here is the basic premise:
Six autistic ponies come together -- and learn the wonders of friendship. They find that autism is not their limiting factor. The right attitude changes everything!

My work is still in the concept art stage. To produce more pictures and comics, I seek assistance. I create my own character designs, but I’m not great at drawing. I specialize mainly in writing.

The plot is pretty simple and could be a offical episode if a character had his weakness trates of being scared of loud nosies
The plot is: David was trying out buck ball for and turned out to be really great at it and was given a chance to join their team "the star dust fleet". However david was nervous sense the buck ball season was starting up and wanted to say no but the mares david attracted pressured him to join them as he feared he would be hated because of missing this opportunity. David at first showed he was ok with it until he bagan panicking about it. He then recalled his ear plugs he was given sense he was a young filly by his parents and for a majority of the games that took place in loud and noisy places he would put them on. Things went smoothly until the championship kicked around as they went against the "the zero gang" they were infamous for being cheaters and were never caught as they would do almost anything to win. Two of their members noticed david ear plugs and had a sneaky idea, when david put them down to get a drink they swiped it and replaced them with fakes. The match went accordingly and this made them curious sense they expected them to play a trick. However they made david himself the trick as the fake ear plugs began melting which resulted david to panic and screwed up big time as he ran off the field. The rest of the team followed as they tried to asked whats wrong as david explained everything. David expected them to be mad but they weren't mad as the pegasus said he has flankburgers and the earthpony had autism. They managed to calm david down as when they returned it was already classified that their team had forfeited and so the zero gang had won. Suddenly a pare of ear plugs came out of the pegasus pony shirt as it had david cired out they were his. It was then everyone realized that they cheated as the crowd also realized the other teams were right. And so the trophy was rightly given to the star dust fleet as the zero gang were banned from buck ball tournaments peramently. They also admitted to their pass crimes and cheating methods which the most common and cruel method was using a pony or ponies with disabilities to their advantage which got them booed off the field and into the hooves of two police ponies as they were taken away. David return home to friendsville and explained to the mares the story. Some mares then said that they couldve told them that he wasn't ok with it though two left saying david just chicken out. But the rest told him to ignore them sense they were zero gang fans and were plot hurt to see them get into trouble. After that everything returned to a somewhat normal as david still is afraid of loud noises and flashy lights but because of that ordeal he made some new friends
This is idea may not interest you and ill be ok with it if you say no to this as your not the first to say no ideas like this
I'm thinking, Starlyre joins a "bucksketball" team. Bucksketball (aka "Buxketball") is a lot like basketball, but it involves bucking the ball into the goal. (A "smash dunk" is the equivalent of a slam dunk. It often involves kicking the goal in the process.)
I'm thinking, indoor stadiums are especially frightening to Starlyre, since the noise reverberates against the walls and ceiling. Even with earplugs, Star has trouble with the loud noise. Moreover, he hates putting things into his ears. Also, wearing earplugs may hinder communication with coaches and referees (so there might even be a rule against it).
Starlyre will need some very special earplugs. And they need to filter noise selectively.
For the first few games, maybe the crowds are fairly small. In that case, the problem is just barely manageable to Starlyre. In desperation not to embarrass himself, he might initially find the courage to ignore the noise. In the end, however, it is clear he eventually needs earplugs.
With his engineering skills, maybe Starlyre devises plans for a magic set of earplugs. Nightlight, who has the strongest magic of the group, carries it out. After some trial and error, they come up with a material that's super comfortable for him to wear -- and filters out only the target noise. It doesn't completely mute the noise -- but it keeps the noise down to a manageable level.
If earplugs are against the rules, then maybe there's a "reasonable accommodations" clause that he can appeal to. He might even argue that it improves clear communication, since it reduces noise in favor of clear, distinct voices. (Sapphire Stars has a big sister who is a fancy lawyer.)
I have more to say, but this is a start.

Your basic premise is that Starlyre's proneness to sensory overload makes him afraid to play in front of a big crowd. We're just sorting out how to make this part of a greater plot. I've really enjoyed having you, as a fan, as part of the creative process!
