Ooch, real bad news. I'm glad to know you stand with your friend. It's no small thing. My aunt had a worsening condition of that during her last few years. She was still ambulatory so we had to alarm the doors! Police picked her up wandering around once. It almost required constant alertness. I'm praying for them.

It is not easy to take care of parents that are losing their capabilities x.x ! Her mom used to wander a bit more, but nowadays, she is unable to walk due to lower body paralysis, so there is no need to worry about this behaviour, albeit the trouble now is getting her around the house, cleaning and all that... It is quite demanding x.x ! Not an easy situation to be in, but luckily, she is in the process of getting more help at home. Her dad was the main care giver and fully capable before his heart attack, so he did not have help at home, but it will be mandatory from now on. May take a little bit of time, but it'll get there and that should be a big relief.

indeed. my aunt lost her back muscles to polio and had to walk with a brace thereafter. And when the alzenhimers realy hit, my poor uncle couldnt deal with it. He kept thinking
he could bring her around by taking trips to places to get her memory going. When she acted out he quietly shamed her. She couldn't remember who he was, and still he still couldn't processes it :( They were heavily bonded. Truly sad. Well anyhow, hang in there. I'll keep praying. Join in if you can, it can move mountains.
