Hello FA journal; it's been quite a while hasn't it?
I know social media has kinda made this style of posting obsolete; but it also brought a whole new wave of addiction and "doomscrolling".
So, as a temporary thing I've decided to take a break of Twitter and the social media thing, as it was really driving my anxiety and mood disorders to it's worst.
Then I remembered what I did before social media: I posted here, on this journal. I remembered the old era of the internet; the internet I grew up with - people using LiveJournal; installing flash, browsing MySpace, using KaZaa/Napster, etc. - and I remembered this still existed.
As I moved off of AIM/Yahoo/MSN & onto Telegram, I also switched from FA journals to Twitter, leaving my FA gallery just a giant watch/favorite list. But I still remember the days (both good and bad) of using journal blogs, especially my FA journal.
I've kinda purged all my old journals as they were of a younger me; who still had some maturing and growing up to do.
But, I decided to try this again as I take a break from Twitter and social media.
Dunno if anyone is gonna actually read this; I mean this is a relic from the internet of yesteryear, haha. If not, hey it's an outlet to just put my thoughts (and more than a 280 character limit haha - my fingers actually have to type; it's been a while since I've done this)
It's pretty cool that this still exists though.
For anyone who hasn't followed me on other platforms and has stuck with FA through all these times - hope you've been well.

I religiously developed a toxic relationship with social media many, many years ago and refused to become a regular member since. Can't say i've been happy overall, but less unhappy? Definitely.
I no longer wake up worrying about the opinions of internet strangers like some hanging sword of damoclese.
Now it's just the opinions of people I actually care what they think. :3
I might return at the end of the week if I feel much better; but who knows.
Media has exascerbated and predated our instinctual threat-response and anxiety to cultivate a society of general mental unwellness. We worry about too much, and affect too little.
Stepping back and gaining perspective is the first step to both health and making positive change. Recognize what's wrong, even lament and mourn. But do not wallow. If it brings you suffering, then work to deny this suffering again!
I really miss my friends long thought out posts but lately it's about showing an inch of skin or paws art and people flock like ants to honey and I can't just worship 'em at their feet to whatever bait they throw, even if they are my friends. That's my huge issue with social media lately. O_<
I might be due for a break of it myself. Well, hope that rant wasn't too much xD I don't know you but I think we've maybe been added from TF2/Furry Pound days where I made a huge majority of online friends and the people I just randomly watch online.
