https://www.furaffinity.net/view/55619625/ I do feel that I can end mourning for my aunt who died of ALS, and so I can return to FA fully. ALTHOUGH, as I am devout Roman Catholic and we are in a new month now, November is considered to be the month of the dead, so you can say that Halloween would be a preparation for this month as one would lose someone-fitting as there is on the first, All Saints Day; second, All Souls Day; eleventh, Veterans' Day/Remembrance Day; and 25th is Thanksgiving in the USA. All those holidays, they are honoring the ones who have passed, and though US Thanksgiving is more of community for those that are present, there would be some aspect to thanking the ones that are in another place. So for an American Catholic like me, after losing 2 relatives, I will think about the good things those two have done for my family before the month of holidays before their death.
To stay on the topic of my aunt, yes, I was sad, and I did have a time to be away from most social media. I did however got active on Twitter, but I would be at a lower tone. Of course, I was able to go to Montréal to attend the funeral of my aunt. While there, I did feel like home in the city of Brossard, QC. There were a lot of changes since I last visited-there is the new Samuel de Champlain Bridge: https://www.pontsamueldechamplain.ca/ (in Français, but it is also in English.), and the Métro ( https://www.stm.info/en ) will soon be in the suburb. I was shocked to see that there was STILL Toys "R" Us, but yes, this is Canada ( https://www.toysrus.ca/en/home )! I did have a good Canada Thanksgiving for the first time in a LONG time (Oct. 11), but it is also my cousin's birthday. Win-Win, huh? I did feel so sad when I saw an episode of "The Neighborhood" on CBS digital feed that I got from Vermont ( https://www.cbs.com/shows/the-neighborhood/ It is on WCAX 3 Burlington: https://www.wcax.com/ )-the one titled, "Welcome to the Porch Pirate", episode 4 in the season where the Butlers grieve with the Johnsons about the miscarriage and sang "Gone too soon." (This was originally sung by Michael Jackson.) With the death that I had, this pained me when I heard the song and I cried badly. I needed comfort, and my uncle's wife that was there did rub my shoulders and hugged me with sorrow. Currently my aunt is in a box of stone colored violet/purple-I was glad in this aspect that she was cremated-if she were in a coffin, I would be sadder because she would be with the worms and in the future she would not look good at all if she were unearthed, and I would be likely to see her grave. Too, her bod was looking terrible due to ALS, and it was better if NOBODY outside her immediate family could see it at all. Once COVID ends, her daughters and husband will soon throw her ashes into the sea in New Jersey's shores as it were her wish to be in the sea. I won't be there for it, but I feel that the final farewell at the funeral was enough for me to give her respects.
Yes, I was able to see my cousin Kevin who goes by the name Kaytranada! He was with his brother, Louis-Philippe (Louis Philips) as well- saw them twice, and we had a good time. Though I was surprised that before I went, I did hear from the cousins on my MOTHER'S side of the family that he and L-P go to San Francisco often! So very soon, if they are going to perform, I will be there once I find the address of where the night club, theatre or even studio they are in. I was lucky too to stop by their mother's house, and saw that Kaytra has those awards stored-YES, I HELD HIS 2 GRAMMIES! They were quite heavy, and shiny too- they stand out from the other awards that he got within Canada, US and even in Great Britain! Yep, I'd be glad to see him perform, and mutually get his music. The thing I hope for is if he does venture in other performing arts, I hope he can get an Oscar, Tony and Emmy and have the EGOT status like John Legend got.
I then lost in stocks $7000 in stocks, but I'm holding. I did have as an inheritance, $50k though, but that will be in a retirement account, thanks to my mom.
Well, it was a bit sad from here on, my dad got drunk and was shouting at me for lots of things- ON HIS BIRTHDAY. It was one of these times that I feel that enough is enough with my very short-fused dad as he cannot feel my feelings, he does not understand things sometimes, and he gets mad easier. I'm preparing to move away from him to get my own life, but I will have to have an easy, but slow transition-he should not realize right away that I'm leaving. I did talk to my cousin about this, and it was the best thing to do, and I will see a psychologist about this because I was REALLY depressed after that man made me sad and even embarrassed about his actions.
My car with 116K miles has a blown gasket, but I hope that it will be fixed soon,. Well, with the gas prices now up to $5/gallon here in the USA, I will have to start shopping for a new car after I pay off my student loans, this time it will have to be a hybrid at least, but I will hope to go for a 100% electric.
Of course, from the earlier journals recently, I did have that near-life changing injury in the eye area, but I did discover that despite some occasional eye pain, if it were that the projectile were lower by a 1/4 inch, I would have lost it. Thank God that He protected me! Despite that I can't really raise my eyebrow without pain as there is as of now, still inflamed tissue and I need to put compresses to have it heal and to get the blood out of the space between the conjunctiva and sclera, my vision is fine, and I will be back to normal soon.
Lastly, these bugs that are making me go crazy-it is happening in MANY places here in the area! Since it is raining and getting cooler, they are getting less and less. These things were looking for water, and I am feeling that the are not dust mites. If they were to bite, they would have left a welt or rash on the skin after a few minutes due to histamine reacting to what was left. But I see none, and it should be perhaps a spore or even a tiny seed. However by my neighbor who has been through this before said that DEET would be the best way to go to get them away. I did listen and it has helped a bit, but alcohol and Lysol help a lot as well. It is to not let the windows open when it is summer from here on to not let these things in again. I would have to see if we can get an air conditioning system to limit their entry but keep ourselves cool. I will hope that climate change is not the cause and the fires from other places in CA are causing these things. Otherwise...
Anyway, you're up to date with me- I'm OK now. Though these "bugs" are still there, I think I could be back on FA more again. It will have to be when they're completely gone that I will devote my free time to FA more than TV, cleaning and even studying to be a tax preparer for the next year. So hope you stay safe, happy, kind and productive, y'all. I wish you happy November! (And no, not the wolf named
November.)
