lamb 2021 review
so me and my mom just watched A24 newest "horror movie" released this year lamb. and honestly i went into the movie thinking that i wasn't gonna like this and well... i surprisingly liked it more than i thought. the story centers around a couple running a sheep farm in sweden who have just lost their child when they are giving birth to lambs until they discover that one of the newborn lambs is... half human and half lamb and try to raise as their own child.
pros of the film: the acting was really great in this movie, there are not really many dialouge moments with the characters on screen and you can really feel the emotion they are going through with some facial expressions they show. the story i really dug it was original for a sorta horror film with what it showed. it was visually beautiful with all the land and mountains in the background and the fog rolling over them. there are some very tense and creepy moments in the movie. 2 deaths in the movie really got at my heart the ending actually made me kinda shocked a bit.
cons of the film: the editing was not the best as kinda show by the quick night and day moments, it wasnt really a long movie about an hour and 46 mins.
this was a very disturbing and weird film to watch yet somehow enjoyable. i would not qualify this as a scary horror film but would put this in the more suspenseful disturbing horror film category. difinitely recomend lamb
