Just another IM service, like MSN or Skype; with some added benefits of having better group and community aspects.
Otherwise, for someone like me, it's just another messaging service; not really anything special beyond that. XD

Well, it makes it easier to chat. When I talk with someone using notes, it can be quite slow. Sometimes, a simple and short conversation can take weeks. On Discord, it's easier to manage thanks to notifications and stuff.

I guess I’m not much for commitment then. I hate being tethered to people who go “ awwww “ when I don’t answer for a while cuz they think I abandoned them. I guess I’m just a note Fraggle. 🐸

It has integration with other services like Patreon, which makes community building easier.

Ah. Never really found a use for Patreon.

If you're not using it to Private Message people, you can just lurk in chatrooms and see people share interesting links to images, videos, muusic, etc. Or participate in conversations and sharing yourself.

Discord is popular for organizing a server into multiple channels. They make yoou pay to have custom emojis and separate identities in different servers, though I have ways around that.

I have Facebook and Instagram but I don’t really use them like that. I guess I’m not much of a chat room person and maybe that’s why I never really found a use for Discord. I just wondered cuz people always ask me if I have Discord. My answer always involves me telling them they can note me here… wherever here may be at the time .🐸
