I've decided I'm going to use a different account for my gore and other extreme pieces, as that's just an easier solution until the thumbnail problem is 100% fixed.
I'll either update this journal or make another, idk yet, but it won't be an immediate thing, so keep an eye out if for some reason you're interested.
