Upload Timing + New production possibilities
4 years ago
Hey all,
Just wanted to make a post here to let everyone know that I'm still alive. I have posts from
luthiennightwolf that I need to get put up here, however to kinda give y'all an idea of the amount of free time I have, I'm reasonably sure that I won't be able to post them until the last week of the year when I have a full ten days off work to get caught up on everything going on at the moment.
As for the productions possibilities, my machine is a combination laser etcher/cutter, cnc mill, and 3d printer. So, as I've closed commissions for the year I reconfigured my machine to do 3d printing as there are some things that I've been needing to get done, and I've been needing to learn blender so it was pretty much the perfect time to experiment with the machine.
I'm still trying to get everything in blender figured out, and to learn the machine's limitations, but with any luck, by the start of the year I may be willing to offer custom 3d prints for those who can supply the stl files for their projects.
The machine is a filament printer so extremely small details (i.e. rivets on a model locomotive) aren't possible, however the level of the resolution I have gotten thus far has proven to me--in my experience with these things--remarkably high with the right settings. If you're interested in having your projects printed, send me a message and we'll see what can be done!
As always I won't be charging an arm and leg for this, having done the math, 1 or 2 dollars usd per hour would cover the running and material cost, and shipping would be based on geographic location.
Anyway, I appreciate your patience and look forward to opening up commissions the 1st of January!
Cheers,
Casey
