Ohhh how the times have changed for me
I remember back in like 2018 I was into all this thrash metal and death metal, and writing songs about butchering furries and taking vengeance against people. Nowadays, I've softened up so much. Now I love booping snoots. Now, here's the thing, certain people I also had to ditch. Don't get me wrong, I still have a little regret considering certain people were good to me, but something about them I had to ditch because they were dragging me down the pathway to areas that I don't believe in. I basically am just being more honest with myself and being more assertive. I guess it's another sign of me growing up out of my edgy 'badass' nature, and taking more responsibility for my actions.
I would like to hear more about this....
Yes as we mature our interest and influences begin to change.
I too once was a badass edgy sort who picked a lot of fights (IRL)
And got into a Lot of trouble!
But with age comes wisdom and this comes calmness.
Though I still listen to thrash metal and punk on occasion, something's you just never outgrow.
People come and go as you grow and discover what is important to you.
To be honest I personally am proud to be a furry, however I don't push it in people's faces.
You're either furry or your not and it's perfectly okay either way.
I look at like religion, just because someone believes in a god does not give them the right to force their beliefs or opinions on me, the same is true with being a furry.
I also happen to be a hammer, however I don't fit that stereotype at all. I don't set in my mother's basement eating Cheetos and mashing buttons 16 hours a day.
It's very pleasing to seeing how you've matured and taken on a live and let live ideal.
Everyone is entitled to live and believe as they are fit. It is up to the rest of us to respect that.
Just because we might not understand or agree does not give us the right to judge or hate.
In the end we all want respect and to feel were a part of something bigger than ourselves.
