Intro + Update On Art And Everything Else
4 years ago
Hi there, so I'm making an intro and maybe my tired brain won't make it too sloppy.
Somehow after all this time I have never made a Journal before so hopefully I don't mess up the format lol.
{Art}
So about art, I am definitely quite behind on coms and trying to catch up. I'm working my hardest to get all owed art finished within the next few weeks. (2-3 weeks)
Also I've been wondering for a while now, with my most recent arts I have pretty much settled on a style but I definitely do want to improve on anatomy.
What do people think of my style, is it something that looks good enough? Because to be honest, I never actually feel satisfied with my art but that's just one of the curses that comes with being an artist.
I do feel good enough that I want to keep my style but I always feel that there is room for improvement.

{Other Stuff and IRL things)
So IRL, I'm close to finishing my degree. I just have a few more weeks to go and then need to pass finals which I think I will do okay on. It has been a long, painful 4 and a half years now. Starting out with Illustration
for 2 years just to dump it because I realized that I rather keep art as a hobby. I then jumped into studying Political Science which was another big interest of mine which I did a lot better in. So fast forward a few years to today and of course, my college decided to be a pain and say that they are "not sure" if I finished all my requirements. According to my records, I have everything I need ending with this semester and they are pointing things out that are completely unrelated to my major but I'm hoping I can get those waived since those are not even technically required by the state. I already made it clear that I will not stay any longer and rather just finish my degree in the future somewhere else because I got too many big plans for myself beginning next year.
My big plans involve going into aviation to become a commercial pilot, I already got a plan and enrolling into a school for it starting next year in February. I always had a passion for aviation technology since I was very young, even long before I had any interest in art. I would have rather started after high school years ago but hell with a high school GPA of 2.0 (Was probably lower than that if teachers didn't inflate my grades so I would pass) I would have never gotten into any good aviation school lol. My only option was to go into college and get some good grades so I actually have something to show for. Scrolling past all the set backs and such I fortunately managed to get around a GPA of 3.4, once I finish this last semester maybe I can push it a little bit higher.
Presently I have already been accepted into a decent Aviation school/program and based on when I start I should be able to complete it and get all my certifications/experience by the end of 2023. It's going to be insanely hard on me but It's one of the few things I actually want to do with my life. Also, with that I'll be moving Tulsa, OK which is like half way across this country. I have not lived outside of New York state since I was 5 years old, so somewhere around 17~ years. It also means I will be leaving home to live on my own for good so It's going to be an interesting experience being on my own and fully independent.

I think that's all I have to say for now, I'll update as things happen.
Thanks

For one already, I'm a huge fan of your style especially with lines and the feeling and detail you give to fur! It's got a very flow-like feeling to it IMO. Along with anatomy, I'm not an artist but everyone can get better with it. I feel like you are getting close to your comfort zone with it, I believe if you practice more poses with certain creatures and animals you will surely get the hang of it! ^^
With IRL stuff especially with college that can be pretty tough no matter what you're doing. Just glad to hear that you are doing your best with it, among other things you're trying your hand at. Seriously hope you the best with your studies man! (I've experienced how tough they can be) ^v^
Also, also excited to hear about becoming a commercial pilot! Definitely gonna be quite some stress, but it will all be worth it in the end!
Congratulations on how everything is going so far, and thanks for sharing! ^^
and good look for your future ^w^ i hope your will be doing great :3
As for degree/career/life stuff, wishing you all the best. Sounds like you've been working hard to get things sorted, and I'm sure it'll pay off
Also congrats on the aviation thing, and good luck! ^^
