Totally not just a convenient way to push the last journal back some. Cough.

2021 is almost over and what a year it's been. Started it off by getting perma-banned on Twitter (what fun that was) for having a profile picture with my mouth open (seriously), got unbanned after two months, started dating for the first time in almost a decade, had a whole lotta nonsense go down with some unsavory types, but also got to meet my boyfriend in person for the first time-- and visit him again before the end of the year. For no reason beyond that, I say this was a great year.

Course it came with a lot of crap. Covid hit last year, as everyone knows, and I lost my job thanks to it. UI was extremely good for me considering the low cost of living and the slave wages I was being paid beforehand, so I got a lot of things I really needed taken care of and had it relatively easier than I imagine a lot of people did during it all. Unfortunately, that assistance came to an abrupt early end around June of this year and I've been surviving off savings since. Not in any sort of dire position yet, but job prospects around here are slim and I've gotta get something rolling sooner or later.

I've been heavily neglecting posting stuff on FA this year, mostly because I just have had almost no motivation and been busy with lots of other things coming up. I've suddenly tried to get some of that knocked out (as some might notice) and am slowly working through all the various artworks I've commissioned or been gifted in the last while. The generosity a lot of artists and fellow commissioners have showered me with by doing gifts for me or including me in their art pieces has been pretty overwhelming, to say the least. I can't thank these folks enough.

As I mentioned above, I started dating CovertCanine back in March of this year. It's been an absolute joy and I couldn't be happier. We met up in June and again here recently in November/December and all I can think about is how excited I am to see where our relationship takes us. I don't think I could ask for a better partner. Might just be madly in love with this boy. On top of that I've met so many insanely awesome folks this year through places like VRC, Twitter, ect. As well as retained a big batch of awesome friends who want nothing but the best for me. Needless to say, I consider myself insanely lucky on that front!

I'm not sure what's to come in 2022 but despite the stress mounting over money I'm optimistic and grateful for the blessings I do have. There was a lot of shit this year and the year before that could have messed me up bad, but I've come out on top of that and feel good about things. I've had loads of support from friends and strangers alike, and while I wish could individually thank them all right here, I don't think I have the time of day to do it. It's meant everything to me, so from the bottom of my heart to all those who've sent me well wishes, assistance, a shoulder to lean on-- thank you. Thank you so much.
