Disclaimer: I watched longplays I didn't really play it, also don't read this if you don't want to be spoiled. I really feel like they dropped the ball on this game, in terms of the weird gameplay, ridiculous amount of glitches, but especially the story. I was confused because the story barely progresses at all throughout the gameplay, the game just happens and in the last 10 minutes the story finally happens, but it's too little too late and it doesn't help that all the endings are absurd. I still don't understand what was happening or why, but they feel like tearing up old lore and rehashing it more than building anything.

By far the biggest disappointment though was Vanny. She was the thing I was looking forward to the most because she seemed interesting but the game didn't deliver on her at all. She barely appears at all and I still don't get whether she and Vanessa (who is a complete non-character) are the same person, though I'm betting they aren't. I guess I'm just going to have my own bizarre headcanon version of her because what I imagined feels more interesting than what I actually got.

I think this game has confused priorities and the gameplay is massively ballooned in scope compared to the other FNaF games, I guess at least Steel Wool Studios put effort in though. On the positive side I don't mind Gregory, I like Glamrock Freddy, and I still kinda like Vanny. It is what it is.
