I sincerely hope nobody here even takes Daisuke's JK Rowling moment seriously
There's a certain level of bullshit writing to where it just becomes totally unbelievable and loses any legitimacy it might of had, and an author loses any credibility when it comes to representing his own work. Retroactively making Bridget trans is well past that line. Believing that Hermione from Harry Potter is black is actually more defensible than that. Among other things it certainly doesn't help Daisuke's case that he's not who actually wrote Bridget's character, he has no more authority on the matter than Bridget fans. All Bridget fans say he's a guy, and if it comes down to who's word, then I do trust theirs more.
Daisuke's change spits on all message and intent in Bridget's actual story, and I shouldn't have to spell out why.

Such a weird take from someone who draws trans dudes almost exclusively. But please continue to mald, Bridget is a lovely woman and there's nothing you can do about it.
