New Year, Stronger Shark
I'm yours, forever; there is no end in sight for us
Nothing could measure, the kind of strength inside our hearts
...hopefully, at least.
Hello all, good evening, morning, wherever it is you're from! It's been a while since I've written one of these, huh? I'm writing this after plenty of thought over the past few days, and wanted to make a note for both myself and my followers who are out there listening.
First off, Happy New Year! It's 2022, almost two years since all of our lives started going down the drain with what's going on in the world, but somehow the most of us are still hold up strong. The others, they're still getting through their toughest times, and I'm certainly rooting for them, wherever they are in the world.
To get started, however, probably the biggest thing about this year is that I will be looking to improve my art drastically by looking at artwork from a proper lens while also trying to maintain the allegedly cute and fun style that I currently have going on.
Does that mean anything for commissions? No!
I will still be working on comms as best as I can, but my "warning" to any future commissioners that all artwork during this year is expected to be experimental. I will be striving to give you the most admirable quality I can, but I'm going to be trying to do things a lot differently this year, so comms may or may not take longer than the usual turnaround time. I just want to let anyone interested in art know that!
Next up, I do have a few irl plans that might get in the way with art too. I'm certainly going to be doing my best to improve my physical health as much as I can. Gods know how incredibly difficult that is to do nowadays, but I'll be working incredibly hard to make sure I can put my body in a better shape overall. That means eating smarter, working out, using downtime to exercise, you know the like. I know that's a typical new year's resolution that people never get to, but I seriously need to be working on myself way more. I'm already a little tiny fish as it is, but that doesn't mean I need to be weak.
On top of that, soon it'll be back to the grind with my classes and day job getting in the way of what I'm wanting to do here on the internet. Not only will it affect how much I do art, but how much I might end up talking to people. I love drawing, but I also gotta be gaming to keep my sanity to some degree, so it's nothing against anyone if they see me playing something and I haven't gotten back in over an hour. I implore whoever might worried about that to poke me as much as they want.
There'll be some other equally important things I'll be working on myself as the year progresses, but those things are much more personal.
TL;DR: Art is gonna mega change this year (hopefully), comms will still be going but may be erratic in terms of quality and turnaround, life is getting in the way (as usual), and don't be afraid to poke me if you need something. I'll also still definitely recording plenty of my thoughts (both fun, existential, and horny) over on my Twitter.
Thanks for taking your time to read this, or even just the TL;DR, and I'll see y'all on here and Twitter, or anywhere else! At some point, probably! Sharky out!
