Fine, y’all have great suits that costs thousands of dollars, so you can judge other suits that is not even a thousand dollars
Everyone’s a critic in the furry fandom…
Guess it is a mistake of owning one
Why I came up with this now?
I was in a chat group in Telegram, when suddenly someone come to me saying "WTF is wrong with your suit?". "Excuse me?" I asked, and then he just say: "There is just something wrong". I said nothing wrong with it, but then he just asked me to wear glasses. Rude..... And that is "constructive critism"
Okay, I see what is going on here. So you all, those who get suits from famous fursuit makers (Mischief Makers, Dont Hug Cacti, you named it), you have paid thousands of dollars (much more important than buying cars or life necessities), got a very awesome outcome - and you all gets to judge those suiters who just only able to get suits from makers who are not very well know that costs not even reaching a thousand dollars. "Your muzzle crooked" "Eyes weird" Bla Bla bla, there goes them "mysteriously rich" furries judging your suits
Is there a FUCKING Universal standards of How much a suit must cost? Is there a BITCHIN Universal Standards of How a Suit should looked like? If there are, then you all can say those suits who are not made by famous makers and/or doesn't worth thousands dollars can go fuck themselves in a dumpster.
So, is this "family friendly" community called the furry fandom? It's more like a tournament of showing who's the boss.

Telling people "Your suit looks like garbage!" will drive them away more than anything, and you know what happens then? We don't get new suit makers that might make better suits than big makers. That's why I look for newer artist to commission, and why if I was to commission a suit I wouldn't go with big names. I like supporting innovation, and supporting smaller creators.
I get feeling proud of a suit you bough or made, but I hate comparing any art to anyone else's. And people that try and say "I'm the best" anger me to put it nicely. Not everything is a competition, and not everything deserves a critique from some wanna be popufur. All acting like that does is 1. drive people away or make them think less of you, or 2. makes sure you are surrounded with yes men, and people desperately wanting to ride off your coattails. Neither of those will lead to real friendships so I don't get it.
I'm just glad someone is speaking up against that toxic part of the fandom. It isn't cool to act that way, and I can guarantee it will not lead to people liking you quite the opposite. I just say refer to what every adult said when you were growing up. "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all." There are exceptions, but with art really? You're going to be a punk, and play it off like "I was just giving a critique chill bro." It's the same as starting off saying no offence. You know you're going to be offensive so just go all out and be offensive, and stop trying to act like it is anything other than that. You are a bully so just own it.
Not referring to you I know you know but I get paranoid XP
Just fuck these kinds of people. If your suit makes you happy, then there is nothing wrong about it. What is important what the suit means to you, and not what it means to a single other individual.
