Yes... despite vaccinations, washing my paws like a madman, masking up at work, in stores, etc., I ended up coming down with the Omicron variant.
It's like a really bad cold (as far as my symptoms go) that's taking forever to shake off. I've had it since Thursday evening. I just hope my folks don't get it, as I'm helping out around the house (mom's 86, dad's 88).
Definitely frustrating! I have to take day's off work in self-quarantine, while it works it way through. And yet, I have to get crud written up for the person(s) covering for me until I return. Like a "sick day" but, not. I've used today to address that need, which has worn me out.
** I'm actually close to a "F" it point, but I really can't do that.
To anyone else who's gotten it... I share the pain.

This... is... ugh! It's like a flipping cold that won't go away.
In any case, the vaccine likely saved me from a hospital experience, considering my past heart issues combined with my age.
I hope your parents are staying safe. My dad is 81, and I'm intentionally staying away from him for a couple weeks after my last symptoms, in addition to getting a negative test.
Maybe a good thing. I know bacterial infections can mutate if too much antibiotic is applied; it can become resistant to the antibiotics. That was my concern as well.
Well... No need to worry now!
Got the vaccine twice in April.
Got the booster earlier this month.
I'm not worried about getting it at all.
Soon as I can find the recipe.
Thinking back on how sick I was with this weird bug I couldn’t shake; and especially very similar symptoms reported just a few months into lockdown…. Yeah I really think I had the first version.
May also explain why I felt truly like crap after the second Pfizer shot in May 2021.
