Some of the subscriptions to fellow artists I’ve had to discontinue.
State of California just gave me a $10,000 plus property tax bill. And they’re talking about illuminating tax protection known as proposition 13 to even screw homeowners out of more money.
So things like Patreon, I’ve had a really cut back and cancel out until such time as my finances are better.
This state sucks.

I feel your pain. I lived in San Diego three times and each time I as so glad to get out of there. From corrupt politicians and judges, to the state trying to take everything they could.
First been a while Shupshe. Great to hear from you. Yes the state is a mess and sadly I think it’s going to get worse. I hope I’m not forced to quit the best job I’ve had to stay in my own house, but in a new State. At 65 I can’t really afford that.

i don't know how my relatives can live in CA, but they've been there for decades so they have some way of navigating it. it is rough as fuck though.
