Not receiving more commissions until further notice
3 years ago

Hey guys. It's been a real while since I've got the chance, or need, to write a journal.
Don't wanna be TL;DR -ish with details as it is involved with IRL stuff, so I'll try to sum it up.
I've finally been hired for a job, since last November, and it has been a really great experience for me. I'm still there, and I plan to remain there as well. Since then, I hadn't had much problem dealing with this, commissions, and other projects that I've been doing at the same time.
Unfortunately, time has been more strict this past January, and it looks like it's gonna be also like that for the rest of the year. This has complicated my existing queue and I don't wanna disappoint my current and past clients. But what really motivated me to make this statement, is in regards of not so recent news involving Paypal
Basically, it has been reinforced that Paypal is going to reduce it's minimum gap from 2,000 usd a year, to 600. If an user receives more than that income in the said timelapse, said user is required to file their own taxes. More info can be found in these 2 links:

As an artist who works and lives outside the US, I don't know how this is gonna affect me. So I just wanna play safe, as if dealing with taxes of a single country was already annoying enough. With this being said, I've decided to close commissions, again, until further notice as I don't wanna have any risk for me, or fellow friends who use paypal.
But no worries for those who're waiting for a commission of mine. I'm still gonna work on those, but they might take a while to produce and deliver.
Thank you for reading to my current status, I apolgoize for the inconvenience, and I wish you all have a pleasant week.

And I am waiting alt version from you.
This happened because U.S. legislators demanded ALL PAYMENT APPS give their users a 1099-K form if they made over $600 a year. This was already enforced in some U.S. states in 2021, but became federal in 2022.
You shouldn't worry about it if you live in Mexico, but I understand you're playing it safe.
Best of luck!
And sorry that the PayPal situation brought this on
At least you got Patreon to continue getting funds and support
