So, the time has come...
So, the moment has finally come. I’ve argued with myself back and forth until I’m blue in the face on whether I wanted to do this, but it’s been a common enough request from so many different people that the only common denominator is me and I can’t come up with other reasons.
So, I am going to formally open for writing commissions. There’s a lot of reasons that are feeding into this decision, and I’ve shared them with some of you, but I won’t here because I’d prefer folks choose to commission me based on the quality of my work.
Anyway, on to the commission info!
First, there’s a couple ground rules/expectations that we need to go through first. This is not my primary job, and while I will dedicate my best effort to working on the stories, I can sometimes be saddled with up to 60 hour work weeks so a little bit of patience will be required. I will always communicate when my job is likely to cause interference as I can, though sometimes last-minute things will come up.
Second, the pricing model. This is the thing that I’ve struggled with more than any other part of this decision. I’ll be the first person to undervalue anything that I create, so I spent a lot of time looking at the different artists I follow who also do writing commissions and settled on setting the price by the word count. So anything between 0 and 2500 words will cost $0.06 per word, while anything from 2501 to 5000 words will be $0.07 a word. At this time I won’t go over 5000 words, though I am giving thought to how a model could work for that length of a story. To give an idea, my Don’t Feed the Dinosaurs story is 2476 words in length, so is an approximate idea for how long a 2500 word story would be. For a story that long, the price would come out to $150 USD. I will always discuss pricing upfront with you prior to you sending me the money. Finally, if the story involves one of my characters, then I will apply a 10% discount to the cost. Be advised that this might change what the Will/Won’t list applies since some of my characters don’t do certain things, but I will discuss this upfront with you as well.
Next, the payment. For the time being I will only be using Paypal. I know other options exist and will explore them for those who cannot use Paypal. But for the time being that’s how it’ll be. Once the price is settled out and payment is received, I’ll create a Google Doc with commenting privileges enabled for you to make any suggestions/corrections on, since my job prevents me from being able to access my phone for 8-12 hours a day. This process might change once I get a couple stories under my belt, but again, for now that’s how it’ll go.
Next, the Will/Won’t list! This isn’t an ironclad list, there may be things that I forgot to include or didn’t think of, but I will communicate upfront if I need to reject a commission for some reason.
So without further rambling, things I will write:
Fully SFW stories (obviously)
Soft Vore
Digestion (no graphic digestion, mild realism is fine)
Adult Content (requires 18+ confirmation)
Things I will not write under ANY circumstance
Underage
Gore
Hard Vore
Disposal
Watersports
Hyper
Finally, the answer to the question that is probably by now pulling your hair to be asked, when will this happen? I’ll be opening the window for commissions this Friday the 11th at 8am Eastern Time, and will close it at 8am on Saturday the 12th. Once I go through the submissions, I’ll select five as the first batch. Once those are all complete, I’ll evaluate how I feel and how soon I can reopen. If your submission was selected, you will go on a temporary list so that for the next round, I will consider submissions from those who were not picked previously to allow other folks a shot, as well as to increase the variety. This list will only last for that next selection, so in theory if someone were to submit stellar ideas every time, they could at most be chosen every other window.
The submission format for your story idea should be as follows:
Desired Length (increments of 250 please, for all our sanities):
Theme:
Character(s) involved:
Any reference material you have: Links to character’s imagery, personality information, etc. The more the better to help get inside your character's head.
Note me this information on FA, if you do not have an FA but have a way to reach me on another platform like Discord or Telegram those are also options, am just trying to keep things consolidated.
Whew, that’s a ton of text to dump on you all at once, so here’s the summary:
- I’ll be opening for story commissions on Friday, February 11th at 8am EST, closing the window on the 12th at 8am
- Stories 2500 words or lower will be $0.06 per word, 2501 to 5000 will be $0.07 per word.
- Please note me on FA or other platform if you don’t have FA using the above format
- If you wish the story to include one of my characters, a 10% discount applies
If there’s any part of this I didn’t explain as well as I could have, feel free to ask! I promise I don’t bite anywhere as much as my dinos do.
