Wings of Fire is another good set. As are the Temeraire books by Naomi Novik.

I would recomend wings of fire if it wasn't meh/10....at least to me.

I always had a crush on Wistala. And then I related to Istache cuz I was a homebody who preferred being around his parents. I feel like the last book was rushed and I was kind of disappointed. Sad about RuuGard. Rough start and then he had it so good for a while, and I loved his bat friends.
