On February 18th we take a few minutes to honor the memory of Furp. In real life Furp was known as Patrick Reed. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, served in the Iraq War, and trained as an EMT. He was working on the Twentynine Palms Marine base when, on February 18, 2009 a car cut in front of his motorcycle causing his fatal motorcycle accident. He was 29 years old.

Furp worked an and EMT at many furry conventions. His stick was to have furries who envied too much alcohol chewy an aspirin.
