I got that game cheap like 5 months ago and I started to play it last week.
I like when I am in the palaces, kicking ass and stealing treasures and all. I like that the fights are REALLY turn-based and not that they are attacking you while you are thinking what to do.
Not having that much freedom is a bit annoying but I don't mind. It feels like I am reading an interactive manga. Doesn't drive me nuts but I don't dislike it either.
But most of the time I just keep pushing the X button to move on. I counted like AN HOUR of just talking and "bonding" and all that stuff. Speaking of which..
I don't like the social simulation crap. Which Jesus is TOO MUCH. Oh neat I have to bond with the asshole caretaker that treats me like shit because of course.
The story is interesting. I like that is not "destroy the evil dude that wants to take over the world" but more like defeat the evil within people. Corny but different.
Anyway...I researched and it seems the game lasts 100 hours for only the main story and I only have like 8. yikes.
Let's see how far I get. I have decided to not get tired by games when they feel like a chore.

If you want recruiting demons and kicking ass; the Shin Megami Tensei game series. SMT3 Nocturne did a an HD release and is pretty challenging; SMT4 is on the 3DS and SMT5 is on the Switch and the first play through is very fun and a solid challenge.
Oh gotta check them out someday
