Do people on this site like to write bios/backstories for their characters and the events that are going on in their commission pics, or do people just prefer to just show their work or what they got without any explanation? Do you like to tell a story or do you just like to showcase what you got and work out the characters in the future?

It's a trend I see more and more often on here and it makes me kinda disappointed that good adopted designs aren't fleshed out in favor of simply using them once in a blue moon for a commission piece and forgotten about.

This isn't targeted at anyone specifically, it's just something I think about because I don't think anyone appreciates my storytelling and world building.
