Hello!
Everyone has already heard of what's happening in Ukraine. I live very close to the Ukrainian border so I receive a lot of info about it. There are many artists on FA living there that might need your help. Here's the list of ukrainian artists, please check it out if you want to help them!

Poland is taking all ukrainian refugees as long as they show their ID card and offers free food and shelter for those who don't have a family here. In the next few days we should be able to help even more, but it's a shock for us too. Unfortunately we can't help fight russians because that's exactly what Putin wants, so we're trying to do as much as we can now.

I have been encountering artists who are trying to get to Poland but don't know anybody there. Is there any list or forum of people in Poland who can help provide advice, 'friendly faces', or a point of contact with the local artistic or 'furry' communities?

Unfortunately I didn't hear of any specific people who'd offer a place to stay, it's mostly organized by the country. From what I heard, you have to specify on the border where you're going (family for example) but if you don't have anyone, they'll send you to places where they offer food, medical help and of course a place to sleep. moreover, the country pays for the premium train ticket for every Ukrainian for easier transport, along with free healthcare for those in need and some companies are even offering job positions for those who want to work or learn something new. That's all i found on the media and different sites. I think people here are more likely to donate and help with food rather than offer a spare room to say in, which is a safer option
